Since pirates are fairly weak as a tribe, you're going to need to limit what others can do and attack their resources in order to chip in for the win. Your commander helps with creatures, so I would attack the hand and mana to slow them down.
I recommend discard like Capital Punishment , Dark Intimations , Discovery / Dispersal , Herald of Anguish (great with treasures!), Syphon Mind , Liliana's Specter , Nicol Bolas, the Ravager Flip, Scythe Specter , Siren of the Silent Song , Skull Rend , Tasigur's Cruelty , and Torment of Hailfire .
While land destruction is often looked down upon as unfun, if you decide to keep with a lot of small creatures, you can come out at an advantage by keeping the lands on the board low. You'd have to build your deck to accommodate that, though. For that, you have Mana Vortex , Tectonic Break , Desolation , Epicenter , Ember Swallower , Rite of Ruin (again, great with treasures), Boom / Bust , Impending Disaster , and Wake of Destruction . You'll also find that creature stealing effects snowball, since you can remove blockers to get in with your pirates. Insurrection , Expropriate , and Blatant Thievery will all serve you well.
Some generic tribal cards will also help. Cards like Vanquisher's Banner , Shared Animosity , Door of Destinies , Konda's Banner , Kindred Dominance , Kindred Discovery , Coat of Arms , Metallic Mimic , Adaptive Automaton , Obelisk of Urd , Path of Ancestry , etc. will help shore up the weakness of the tribe.
Finally, I would head to EDHREC just to see the staples that are played in Grixis colors, as well as for your commander and whatever theme you choose to go with. You can also toggle to budget in the top right in order to see what will make it easier to build without sinking a bunch of money into the deck. However, keep in mind that cards like River's Rebuke don't scale up well to multiplayer, so you'll find the choices people make are very different. While cards like Cyclonic Rift , Sol Ring and Vandalblast will hurt the pocketbook a bit, they're good investments for whatever Commander decks you choose to build in the future.
If you don't like what you see, you can also head to Scryfall to search for cards. They'll let you limit the results to cards in your color identity, put price limits, and let your rank the results by how much commander play they see.

gb: My playgroup isn't too keen on MLD decks :/ Epicenter is pushing it, and probably the closest I could get otherwise would be something like Wildfire, Keldon Firebombers or Tectonic Break.
And you're right, I should add in the Splendid or Mending... a single World Shaper isn't cutting it haha
I think I'll do The Mending of Dominaria, because it low-key works with The Gitrog Monster and Turntimber Sower.

Heyainumaan, thanks for the reply, will try to address your suggestions now:
1) Poxis interesting, and it fulfills the same role as Death Cloud for a cheaper cost, but potentially less devastating consequences. I like both of them but triple black makes it really hard for me to consider it seriously. Even double black cards make me think twice if they are worth, triple black needed to be game winning on spot, which none of them are :) With that being said, Death Cloud would be the next MLD spell in the hierarchy, after Tectonic Break. Might test it but don't really think it will make the cut.
2) Sensei's Divining Top and Mirri's Guile are decent card filtering mechanisms. With the amount of fetches we run they are both worth a shot. However, I don't feel card filtering is good enough for this deck. We need to draw cards, hard. I will put a card like Tireless Tracker in front of any card filtering mechanism, any day of the week :P That being said, Top is better as it actually can draw us an answer imediately.

I'd suggest removing these cards:
Brambleweft Behemoth - It's a 6/6 for 6 with trample, yes it's an elemental but there are far better ones, especially for 6 mana.
Drove of Elves for 4 mana, you'd want something stronger than this, it's not an elemental, and the only real upside is that it has hexproof.
Nissa's Encouragement It's not really worth to have, considering that the cards it gets you aren't that great.
Nissa, Genesis Mage there are better nissa walkers out there
I'd suggest these cards:
Ashling the Pilgrim you can build up a boardwipe, and with omnath triggers, you could easily kill everyone.
Briarhorn gives you either a 3/3 blocker with +3/+3 on target creature for a combat trick, or you can evoke it, get the +3/+3 anyways and then you get to deal damage with Omnath.
Brighthearth Banneret makes your ele's cheaper
Fertilid 2 land for 3 + 4 mana instant speed fetch too.
Flamekin Harbinger topdeck Eletutor for 1 mana. Really recommend this card, plus elemental decks are the only decks which can really run this.
Greenwarden of Murasa It's effectively a big, double eternal witness.
Incandescent Soulstroke lets you cheat out an elemental which then gets sacrificed later.
Multani, Yavimaya's Avatar gives you ways to return lands to your hand for more landfall triggers.
Skullmulcher gives some card draw.
Soul of the Harvest I know it doesn't work with all the tokens you make, buuuut it does give draw.
Undergrowth Champion gives you a nigh indestructible blocker so you can go wild with your attacks.
Walker of the Grove gives you a 4/4 ele when it leaves the battlefield.
Budoka Gardener gives you extra land draws/elemental generation
Flamekin Village gives a creature trample, and is an ele land
Primal Beyond is also an elemental land.
Raging Ravine is also an elemental land
Skarrg Guildmage makes a land 4/4 for 3 mana
Waker of the Wilds does the same thing.
Vivien Reid gives some nice card draw.
Animist's Awakening with the amount of ramp you have, you could easily have a massive awakening.
Chord of Calling is a pretty good tutor in green.
Khalni Heart Expedition Gives you moooooore ramp, but more importantly, double landfall triggers at instant speed.
Crop Rotation is an instant speed landfall.
Harrow more instant speed landfall.
Perilous Forays Sacrifice your free landfall elementals for 1 misc, get a tapped basic, and another elemental.
Sakura-Tribe Elder for more instant speed landfall.
Tireless Tracker gives you 2 mana card draw for landfall.
Forgotten Ancient can be a real all star when buffing up your board.
Grave Sifter could be a nice include to let you replay elementals, but considering that people are bringing tribal decks, maybe not.
If you went down the burn route, Hostility would be a fun card.
Rite of the Raging Storm is a pretty fun card in multiplayer.
Sylvan Awakening is okay, and pretty funny to kill someone with 2/2 lands.
Eternity Vessel Can make you live forever
Indomitable Creativity you can destroy your own elementals to get other creatures.
Kamahl's Druidic Vow upside is that you can get heaps of lands, downside is that you don't have /that/ many legendary permanents.
Constant Mists will protect you from damage all the damn time.
If you wanna be super mean, Tectonic Break to destroy everyone's lands, except that you'd have way more lands out than anyone else. Boom // Bust Destructive Force Devastating Dreams From the Ashes Thoughts of Ruin Tremble Wildfire

Steelspike I guess that makes sense. I just don't know where to draw the line. From the Ashes was already in consideration, but what about Ruination? How about Keldon Firebombers? Tectonic Break for 6?
I personally don't see the difference between the Worldgorger and Jokulhaups, and say, Epicenter with Dingus Egg out? I wouldn't just run out a MLD without a clear plan to win either immediately or within a couple turns.
I will probably cut the MLD and just have a mono-R stax build. Mono-R isn't as bad as mono-W, and this specific deck I don't see becoming more "fun" than 2 color, especially since I can run non-basic hate in mono color without hurting myself. In fact, splashing black for Tainted AEther and Lethal Vapors seems way more oppressive than just having Scab-Clan Berserker or Manabarbs.

I picked up a Tectonic Break if it pans out for me I'll try the others. Daretri has an impossible time making friends.. hes unplayable in 2hg just cuz he hates so hard. In this type of stax build anyways but it's super fun to play. Heheh. If your playing stax your plan should be to shut everyone down so you can combo out a win mid too late game. It's hell to play against when your plays line up. Depending on your group stax is fine but it's not a nice archtype for a group not used to that game style. People tend to enjoy actually playing magic... but there's some satisfaction to be had by busting out of your resource denial prison my group takes alot of pride when they do.

Thanks for the compliment Suaz14! Here are some more. Please excuse my need to recommend creature spells... It's my favorite card type. I'll be sure to include some non-creatures as well!

You'll probably want to be drawing cards while your opponents are forced to discard cards because they're missing land drops or just barely making the cut at 7 cards in hand. In any case Sandstone Oracle is a budget friendly draw spell. There are plenty of other better options too, but it was just a thought.
I'm not going to be cruel and "suggest" the cards above, that's a lot of clicking around for you to do. So I'll just leave the list here. Hopefully you see something that sparks some interest!
