Creature — Hydra
Infect (This creature deals damage to creatures in the form of -1/-1 counters and to players in the form of poison counters.)
If damage would be dealt to Phyrexian Hydra, prevent that damage. Put a -1/-1 counter on Phyrexian Hydra for each 1 damage prevented this way.
Phyrexian Hydra Discussion

Hi firesparker, Infect is more difficult in Multiplayer Games. I played a Atraxa Build with Infect for 2 Mounths. Your biggest Problem are your Opponents and there know what you play.
I try to give your my suggestion.
- Try to play Blightsteel Colossus over some Cheat-in Cards like Show and Tell , Defense of the Heart or maybe Quicksilver Amulet .
Take more focus on Poliferate
Use dirty Cards like Tainted Strike for take out someone if an Opponents attacks with a Fattie.
Putrefax Awesome Dude, maybe play with Reanimate/Regroth/Eternal Wittness
Phyrexian Hydra Fattie
Master Biomancer push your Creatures
Tezzeret's Gambit Carddraw + Poliferate
Triumph of the Hordes Overrun
Contagion Engine Poliferate but high Cmc, depending on your Meta.
Evolution Sage Landdrops with benefits
Craterhoof Behemoth Value Finisher if you had this Budget.
Grafted Exoskeleton also good, but expensive (CMC)
Skithiryx, the Blight Dragon Must have.
Mostly important is your Manabase and Mana-Rocks.
You will play fast as possible. Cut Lands that enters tapped.
Play Atraxa just you can protect her. Abuse her Lifelink every Combat and cut Cards like Fog ...
Your opponents do not want to attack you if Atraxa is online -> Deathtouch.
Maybe you need more Carddraw, Topdeck-Control:
If you build more around +1/+1 Counters with Master Biomancer -> Herald of Secret Streams
BUT, i think your Build is also good with more focus on poliferate.

Thank you for your many recommendations!
Asceticism : I considered this a lot, but I prefer auras than enchantments like this, so I can immediately trigger the fight mechanic. Colossal Majesty : Same reason with Asceticism; plus, when I cast this on turn 2 or 3, this most probably will do nothing for me. I have a lot of ways to draw cards. But I really did consider this when making the deck.
About the creatures, I initially had Polukranos, World Eater here but then I cut it as its too much too activate, I could just remove creatures using the fight mechanic on the commander. As for Chameleon Colossus , Whiptongue Hydra , and Phyrexian Hydra (he's not ugly lol, I love me my infect creatures :) ); I used to run this along with Polukranos when the deck started out as kinda tribal hydra / enchantress. Having decided to focus on the enchantment route, all I needed to do was to put out Gargos asap and kill creatures (through auras) and attack. But I am thinking of maybe cutting Karametra's Acolyte and/or Primordial Hydra for Whiptongue and Phyhrexian Hydra. (Thanks for reminding me about these two!)
Traverse the Outlands is something I overlooked, having 5 cmc I will have to think about it still.
Thanks for your recommendations, I really appreciate it! :)

Hello! I really like this idea to boost up this commander with enchantments. I just created a deck for the same commander, but I selected Instants instead of Enchantments. Enchantments have better support in Green, but Instant are more powerful without any support. However this Green Enchantment deck has a really unique atmosphere, so thank you for building it. Some (obvious) ideas which might worth consideration: Ramp Traverse the Outlands , always good creature it can be a wincon and hydra as well Chameleon Colossus , good removal creature Polukranos, World Eater , best protection in Green Asceticism , good card drawer Colossal Majesty , and the best flying creature removal Whiptongue Hydra and finally an ugly creature which is a hydra and a potential wincon Phyrexian Hydra . I hope you can use some of these cards. :-)

Have you thought about maybe using cards with Infect? Not for any specific mechanical reason (although with all those low-power high-defense creatures, it might actually be a good way to eventually get rid of strong enemy creatures), but more because poison and spiders really fit well together from a flavor perspective? Also, there's already a spider with that, Blightwidow , and Phyrexian Hydra really already looks like a spider anyway, if you're willing to ignore that it technically doesn't have the creature type or reach. Phyresis or Tainted Strike might also be cool, again both for flavor reasons and because it gives your creatures an easier way to kill.
I feel like you're also not doing enough with your graveyard, given how many cards you put in there. The only idea I had was Threshold, but there's not much that fits the theme of the deck. Maybe Rancid Earth or Toxic Stench ?

Love the synergy between Melira, Sylvok Outcast and Phyrexian Hydra there. You seem pretty low on land though, especially with not having many manarocks or instants/sorceries with library searching like Cultivate . Your curve is pretty low, but even considering that I might recommend at least Evolution Charm for the versatility, but probably even others like Kodama's Reach or Lay of the Land . I do love all the proliferation, too. Even just a couple counters can add up to deadly with repeating effects like your contagion clasp/engine!

You should definitely play some infect cards like Glistener Elf, Phyrexian Hydra and Plague Stinger. Also, when the Blowfly Infestation, Crumbling Ashes, Necroskitter combo pulls up, you're hard to stop. Try to get more of them.
