Armed // Dangerous another CMC2 Double Strike, $0.21. Downside is it's Sorcery.
Archetype of Aggression, gives all your creatures Trample, $0.39. 6 ground + 4 flying (partial evasion) don't have trample, thats 1/2 your available hitters, including 1 infect.
Gruul Signet, CMC2 Rock, $0.30.
Farseek, CMC2 Ramp!!, $0.27.
Flameblast Dragon won't get his doubled. Timing is off.
Slagstorm scary because it wipes out the dorks, but I understand the thinking, with Cats/Snakes/Vampires.
Arbor Elf, CMC1 Dork, $0.26.
Beastcaller Savant, CMC2, But he has Haste, $0.40 though.
Heart Warden, annoying at CMC2, but can draw a card if late in the game if he's a dead draw, $0.20. Modular is sometimes nice, especially in longer games.
Explore might work pretty well with 40 lands, and it draws a card, so maintains your card-advantage and ramp advantage. I also feel you have quite a bit (too many) lands with all the additional ramp/dorks you have? Might try 38 instead.
Thunderfoot Baloth $1.69, but has trample, with Xenagos is 14 Trample, and gives all other creatures Trample. The best of the Trample enablers mentioned for sure.
Artisan of Kozilek he is 10/9 (20/19 with Xenagos), Returns a creature from your graveyard to the battlefield (not hand), and has Annihilator 2 (Opponent sacrifices 2 permanents, with haste from Xenagos) for $0.43. I have lots of this guy, I'll bring you one.
Maybe with some shuffling of mana sources you can free up cash for Malignus, but he's quite expensive. Tough for budget.
Phyrexian Hydra another Infect guy. Makes it easier to kill 3 players.
Khenra Charioteer more trample, hes a 3/3 so he's not shabby for CMC3. Probably don't need that much anyway.
Talisman of Impulse best non- non- mana source available for $0.33.
Explosive Vegetation is good, but $0.92 and CMC4, I'm not sure. Might look for another lower CMC one to ramp a little faster for that $. Go a bit faster.
I haven't seen this one work yet, See the Unwritten and at $0.82, I'd probably just draw another creature like a Artisan of Kozilek. If you get lucky and the stars align, maybe you get 2, but one might be an Elf. I'd rather just draw another key creature, instead of the randomness. If it was CMC5 or CMC4 and casting a CMC8 maybe, but it's CMC6 probably casting a CMC6 or lower (based on probability, I can calculate it when I have some more time)
Living Hive is in Main and Maybeboard.
I only like Momentous Fall (too expensive $), Deus of Calamity (enables Xenagos), Kavu Predator could be interesting in our Pod (vs cats/vamps anyway). Malignus if you can budget him in. Steel Hellkite good utility again CMC0 Snakes/Vampires for example. Thunderfoot Baloth.
Don't like anything else there.
I think, less lands -2 perhaps, cheaper ramp (and maybe 1 more), 1 more creature (infect guy preferably), reallocate some cash to make sure each creature is a finisher, like Avatar of Fury is kind of blah, if you can cast for 2 he's ok, but what you doing with the other mana that turn anyway, would rather pay the 6 for a finisher. Siege Dragon feels a little underpowered too, but can board wipe (cats/vamps/snakes), would rather use Steel Hellkite instead, better control, lower CMC.
Living Hive feels small for CMC8! Wtf, not sure what your doing with the 1/1 insects, that don't even fly.

OK, consider the following changes. Obviously you'll need to consider the budget you want to keep with this deck. I'm looking at options to bring up the kill speed for this deck.
If you really want to hit hard and hit fast, then you need not worry about you own life total early in the game.
I know what you're going for in this deck and I think you should look at this dekc from a different perspective.
I'm not talking about play styles. I'm working with your aggressive beatdown style.
I'm talking about shifting strategies in mid-game.
In the early game you go all-out and hit as hard and fast as possible. Get the kill by turn 4 or 5.
Once you've taken out the primary threat, you shift strategies. Change your approach and work on recovery and defense, shift to a midrange gameplay.
Ditch that crappy Putrefax. The "sacrifice at the end step" is too much of a hinderance for 5 mana. It it were cheaper, maybe, but nope it is just crap.
I really like Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite but the mana cost is too high for the early game. Not sure on this one.
I also think you should reconsider keeping the Lost Leonin since he's cheap and hits the field early. He's also a great pump target.
Better infect creatures:
Relic Putrescence - screw your mana rock.
Skithiryx, the Blight Dragon
Pump for the kill:
Invigorate - Because we don't care what their life total is.
Tainted Strike - Surprise!
Snake Cult Initiation - 3 poison counters at once.
Giant Growth, Mutagenic Growth, Titanic Growth, Might of Old Krosa - The classic pump tactic.
Let's consider toolbox utility cards:
Azorius Guildmage - Because screw your activated ability. Counter a planeswalker ability and watch the looks on their face.
Simic Guildmage - Imagine moving the Rancor or Phyresis after blockers have been declared but before the damage phase.
Prowling Serpopard - Nope, I'm gonna get my creatures.
Melira, Sylvok Outcast - Make the game one-sided.
Lightning Greaves - An additional set of Swiftfoot Boots. Yeah, I know shroud means that you can't pump, but there are ways around that.
Unburial Rites - Here it comes again.
Virulent Wound - Poison and removal.
Pistus Strike - Poison and removal.
There are some -1/-1 counters decks based around Hapatra or Atraxa. Since the infect creatures deal combat damage as whither, we can use that to our advantage.
Hapatra, Vizier of Poisons - Put those -1 counters on opponent's creatures to work making tokens.
Phyrexian Hydra - This gets just stupid with Hapatra, Vizier of Poisons.
Lands you may have missed:
I know we've talked about this in the past, but I think you should really consider getting the shock lands. A quick check of the card prices on TCGPlayer puts the shocks at about @10-15 each. Totally worth it.
Gavony Township - Proliferate!
Vault of the Archangel - Need to stay in the game a bit longer.
Boseiju, Who Shelters All - Screw your counterspell.

I really like this idea, but it doesn't look like most infect creatures work with Varolz too well. For Varolz to get max value, you want creatures well above the power curve.

A few thoughts to go over!
Ammit Eternal will net you snakes very quickly as your opponents cast spells. If anybody is left open, (Or you use your Whispersilk Cloak/Rogues Passage) you can extend that engine's lifespan.
Skinrender only triggers Hapatra once, but is solid removal.
Flesh-Eater Imp is a solid flying infecter that explodes a win if you have snakes to feed. Phyrexian Crusader, Phyrexian Hydra, Phyrexian Vatmother are cheap solid infect sources too. Grafted Exoskeleton and Glistening Oil turn any of your creatures into surprise infect threats. I know its not budget, but Inkmoth Nexus is going to do a LOT of work for you.
Your land base isn't bad, but could be better in my opinion by focusing harder on Basics. In addition to making you more resilient to non basic hate/punish, two color doesn't get color starved easily. Especially if you to focus on basic ramp like Cultivate, Kodama's Reach, and other similar that search Any Basic Land. Drop the majority of your lands that enter tapped with little to no other benefit. Gaining 1 life or a 0/1 plant aren't going to win you the day, and will often slow your plan painfully. Nykthos is questionable. Being so evenly split in mana costs plus so much of the deck's presence being token based, I wonder how often it will actually run positive on devotion.

Maybe drop the Phyrexian Hydra, as I feel it's too slow. Mutagenic Growth would be a great replacement, as you don't have to spend any mana, and it really helps you out. And if we're going that route, Apostle's Blessing is another great card, maybe add it to the sideboard if you're going to be playing a lot of mono-colored decks. Giant Growth and Rancor are other boosting spells. In order to find room for some of these, take out the hydra and Run Wild. Nice deck, hope my suggestions help.

Ye, I somewhat agree. After thinking a little about it, I believe that it's best to drop both Blighted Agent and Plague Myr, replacing them with something like Elvish Visionary and Gatecreeper Vine . The point is not winning on turn 2, but ramping, while also being able to shut my opponent down.
I believe it's better to rely on Viral Drake and Phyrexian Hydra as my "heavy hitters", while leaving a few copies of Phyrexian Swarmlord in if they have removal. Maybe if I pair this together with an Evolutionary Leap and a couple of Corpse Cur 's I'll get somewhere.
Anyway, thanks for posting, it's fun to have other people looking at your deck and thinking along with you.
