Plumb the Forbidden

Syr Konrad, the Grim would do work.

Village Rites

Nemata, Primeval Warden is kinda cool

Brightcap Badger Maybe? It's a new-ish card. Might be too slow?

Balaam__ on Kamarupa’s Challenge

Ooh, thanks wallisface. I became so preoccupied in thinking producing lands are the enemy I never even considered looking at any which generate blue natively. It would guarantee that we don’t ever ‘fulfill’ Quicksilver Fountain, as you said. Normally I’d say No simply because it’s way too expensive and I don’t think I own any, but since this is all hypothetical stuff I’m definitely adding a set. I’ll replace Wooded Foothills since I think we have enough opportunities to get at mana and we don’t really have any way to stop Quicksilver Fountain aside from Throne of Geth or Cankerbloom.

@kamarupa I think the Oroboro palace or whatever it’s called is the better choice because we can respond immediately without restriction, and since price is no object here I just went ahead with the strictly better. Plus I just hate anything that enters tapped. Gives me the heebie jeebies shudder

I have reinstated Cankerbloom in this deck, replacing Decimate, which reduced the average converted mana cost of this deck from 3.92 to 3.89, because I am not a major fan of land destruction, and this deck already has plenty of ways to destroy creatures.

I have replaced Cankerbloom with Perforating Artist, which did slightly increase the average converted mana cost of this deck from 3.90 to 3.92, but that increase is definitely worth the devil being a better match for the theme of this deck than was the fungus.

TheOutcastWarlock on Should Muldrotha Eldrazi be Sac …

My deck Muldrotha Eldrazi is a new deck I've been working on to compete at the higher power tables I run into. The idea is to dredge into life of the loam for lands while using cards like Malevolent Rumble to make spawn/scions to ramp into them. Support pieces include Birthing Pod & Cankerbloom.

I've used this exact deck several times and it's too slow, has no impact on the board, and is super fragile. If I add cards like Protean Hulk and Greater Goodfoil, what should I replace? Should I add the bigger eldrazi? What should I have as control pieces? Should I scrap this deck and start over from scratch?

I have no budget so any suggestions would be useful. Thanks in advance.

I have replaced Mortality Spear with Cankerbloom, which reduced this deck's average converted mana cost from 3.94 to 3.90, which is quite impressive, since this deck has too few methods of gaining life for me to be able to reliably cast the spear for its reduced cost. I almost chose Insidious Fungus, but Cankerbloom has a lower cost for its ability, which is more important, to me.

shadow63, what about Tear Asunder, Cankerbloom, or Insidious Fungus? Would those cards fit the theme of this deck?
