Maul Splicer Discussion

@ ZendikariWol Added Oak Street Innkeeper , showing just enough leg and some cleavage to make it! I couldn't bring myself to add Emmara, Soul of the Accord , maybe one day when she has an alternative art that is a little more "revealing."

I think that maindeck naturalizes are bad, I like Maul Splicer as a ramp pay off. Ambush Viper and Aurochs seem bad. Maybe Greater Sandwurm would be better. Sprout Swarm deserves at least sideboard inclusion.

It looks a lot (I mean a lot) more solid. Draw/discard feels good, creature balance feels good between combo peices and things to keep you alive pre turn-4 and protect alesha.
I feel like the rest will just be exploring the werid and wonderful options for creatures alesha hits- Duplicant, Hornet Queen, Maul Splicer, Pentavus, Prime Speaker Zegana, Progenitor Mimic, the possibilities are substantial. Good luck, and have fun tinkering. Its always good to see new takes on the old Reveillark decks.

Assuming that you go up to 24 lands (or 20 lands/4 birds, elves, or hierarchs), next thing is: curve.
4 Blade Splicer, since you most likely will get to have 3 mana (deck consistency - you want to have the best thing your deck can do happen as often as possible, and in this case the "best thing" is a first striking golem token as soon as you have 3 mana), and you want to be sure you have something to play. Wing Splicer and Vital Splicer seem like 2-ofs, Master Splicer like something you need 3 of. Maul Splicer... it's just so expensive. Maybe 1?
Oh, and Cloudshift should be a played as a full set. The card may contain some text, but that is rubbish. In your deck, it really reads: "Counter target removal spell, put a 3/3 golem token into play". No Precursor Golem to go with that, though (imagine what happens to all your tokens, if you Cloudshift a non-token golem).
You could also go for a SURPRISE! WINCON! by removing all artifacts from your deck, then adding a single (or two... to ensure you don't draw it by accident), huge golem, like Blightsteel Colossus, Darksteel Colossus, Mycosynth Golem, Sundering Titan, Platinum Emperion or something like that, and a bunch of Shape Anew. Sac tiny token, play huge golem, win game. An should that not work out, you still have an army of golem tokens.

@ImtheRealBear I hadn't heard of Door of Destinies, that looks like a great card for inclusion. I agree with cutting Phyrexian Hulk and bringing Maul Splicer down to 2 copies in favor of 2 more Blade Splicer. Coat of Arms I'll throw on the maybeboard as something to possibly consider at some point (maybe for sideboard? i dunno). It's strong but potentially risky.
Thank you for the suggestions :)

I would cut Phyrexian Hulk and bring Maul Splicer down to 1 or 2 copies and play a full set of Blade Splicer. I would up the land count a bit as well. Since you're play Xenograft you try either Door of Destinies or Coat of Arms, although keep in mind coat of arms help your opponents as well while doors does not.

If I'm understanding correctly, this is going to be a pauper Tron list with the subtheme of graveyard manipulation? Definitely have some pointers, in which case.
I would trim down to three colors at most, since the Tron lands only produce colorless mana, and getting mana fixing on top of that seems a little difficult. Still, I think you can get away with Golgari-only (Black-Green). Don't worry about mana for the Dragon enchantments; you'll be wanting to discard/mill those to the yard, and then return them for free off of big Eldrazi.
Maul Splicer is another classic green Tron pauper drop; it doesn't synergise well with the Dragon enchantments, should you choose to go down that route, but it still might be worth it.
