Remember the Fallen Discussion

Howzit AtrusOfMyst! Thanks for the comment and upvote!

Endrek Sahr is a nice token mechine but the cmc is too high, and I don't really run enough creature spells to really take advantage of him.

SynergyBuild I definitely considered it. Two problems: it costs a lot over time, and if Elenda is under it and it gets blown up, she stays in exile forever(see updated text on gatherer), which is the same reason I don't have Mimic Vat , a personal favorite.

For those interested:

I am testing out/thinking of adding the following cards: Costly Plunder , Utter End , Fumigate , Viscera Seer , Remember the Fallen , Restoration Specialist , and Scavenger Grounds . Any cuttable cards you see? Thanks for reading!

Hey, nice budget deck, less than $100, well done.

Budget upgrades ($2 or less each, most are less than $1) to consider:

Can add all these cards for about $20. I offer more help if you would like.

Good luck with your deck.

I agree with what sagramore is saying, pick a theme with how you want to construct your deck and go from there. From the comments and the way you want to go, which is going wide than stick to anthem like effects and equipments that will help you build your army and ramp.

Since you said you are on a tight budget I'll list some cards that are less than $5 that might be able to help you out.

Rampant Growth, Cultivate, Farseek, Faith's Reward, Wrath of God, Hunter's Insight, Relic Seeker, Auriok Steelshaper, Steelshaper Apprentice, Angel of Jubilation, Remember the Fallen, Cathars' Crusade, Behemoth Sledge, Qasali Pridemage, Leonin Warleader, Prowling Serpopard, Reclamation Sage, and Krosan Grip.

Hope some of the cards listed would be able to help you out!

Leonin Abunas is the gold standard of artifact protection. It's much better than Indomitable Archangel: hexproof instead of shroud, and doesn't require metalcraft.

Batterskull is the most powerful living weapon.

Blackblade Reforged offers a P/T boost that scales with the game and can enable Balan to one-shot.

Hammer of Nazahn provides indestructible and auto-equipping.

Inquisitor's Flail stacks with Balan's double strike.

Sword of Fire and Ice is the best Mirran Sword and is worth acquiring a copy. P/T boost, hard card draw, damage, and protections can't be beat.

Sword of the Animist is a tutorable land ramp engine.

Expedition Map tutors for one of your utility lands.

Austere Command and Cleansing Nova are excellent options for sweepers. Using artifact sweepers in an Equipment deck may seem counterproductive, but it's necessary to keep your opponents' own artifact shenanigans in check. Spot removal can only do so much against multiple players.

Remember the Fallen is a great recursion spell.

Buried Ruin is artifact recursion that only takes up a land slot.

Kor Haven is an effective threat deterrent.

Mikokoro, Center of the Sea is a cheap card draw engine.

With all of your equipment and high-costing nonartifact spells, Inspiring Statuary could do a lot of work in here

I know it can't be Sunforged, but Leave // Chance will save your ass every time you cast it. And with all the creatures that you're running, Legion's Initiative could be useful for deterring boardwipes

I noticed that the only pieces of artifact recursion you're currently running is Buried Ruin and Sun Titan. Things like Goblin Welder and Scrap Mastery can recur your artifacts will messing up your opponents' boards, and if that's not really your thing, I've had good success with Nahiri, the Lithomancer and Remember the Fallen as well

Keep up the good work!

Nahiri, the Lithomancer and Sram, Senior Edificer are both staples in this kind of deck and need no explanation

Inspiring Statuary is a hilarious way to capitalize on your equipment, especially if you run something like Howling Mine with it

Remember the Fallen could also be really helpful for recurring important artifacts and creatures

Eight-and-a-Half-Tails is invaluable in mono-white, especially with so many artifacts that need protecting

Is your maybeboard a list of cards that you still need to buy or is it a list that you are still not sure about?

The deck looks pretty decent for a casual deck, and depending on your budget there's a lot room for improvement

Well after my denial w/ Boros, I actually have one other plan in mind...

Should I make a Gate Deck, or what? Just asking to be sure...

Cute combo, +1 from me. Seeing as how all three of your pieces are permanents that can be easily removed, you should probably consider some spells that can protect them. Things like Turn Aside, Rebuff the Wicked, and Apostle's Blessing are all great choices. If you're having trouble finding your pieces you could use a weird sort of Gifts Ungiven package, almost like an Esper Gifts deck but... wierder. You cast it and search for some combination of Lab Man, Merrow, Mantle, Remember the Fallen and Sun Titan (both of which you could include as just a 1x for this). Either they give you the pieces you want and put the reanimation in the graveyard, or they put the pieces in the graveyard and give you the reanimation you need to get them back. A bit of a clunky combo, but as a whole this deck is a little clunky (I don't mean that in a bad way - a lot of the most fun decks are clunky).

Whatever you decide to do, good luck!
