Lantern of the Lost

Artifact

When this enters the battlefield, exile target card from a graveyard.

, , Exile this: Exile all cards from all graveyards, then draw a card.

The two main things I'd look at for that list before running either of those is upping fetch numbers - if you're stuck on majority basics for budget reasons, Terramorphic Expanse and Evolving Wilds still get you triggers.

Fetches trigger crabs twice, and that is what makes crabs good. Same with other landfall effects.

Second, I'd be less worried about the life loss from fetches if you are just fetching basics or a triome. When you fetch a shockland you are basically lightning bolting yourself, which can need lifegain, but is usually offset by more reliable sideboard lifegain or mainboard control. Card draw from courser/tatyova is the reason to run them and they are great at that, but effects to keep your gameplan running are where to focus.

If you are looking at buried ruin, you need to run artifact/mill synergies beyond just crucible. Shriekhorn+Grinding Station can work, especially with some of the infinite combos that grinding station offers, but its something that needs to be built around. You are in the right colours for Shardless Agent if you're prepared to lean into speed + value rather than counterspells.

Probably the biggest utility lands you could run would be Bojuka Bog, but without primetime shenanigans it can be hard to hit the things you need with it - Ashiok, Dream Render type exile graveyard effects matter because it takes one 'shuffle your graveyard into library' eldrazi to shut down the mill plan otherwise. Tormod's Crypt, Nihil Spellbomb or Lantern of the Lost are cheap and helps solve the problem.

Best of luck brewing crabs - its a fun archetype and has some neat brews - I'm partial to 12 crab with the snowlands and ambush vipers, but it all works.

Lantern of the Lost isn't good enough. Soul-Guide Lantern has set the bar extremely high for Grave-hate options. Not touching my 'yard or exiling itself are unique qualities that future full-purge cards will have to posses in order to measure up. Remorseful Cleric was in this deck before, but it didn't last very long.

Allowing Halvar  Flip to two-shot is a low bar to cross. A power boost of at least 2 isn't a particular trait that automatically makes an Equipment worthwhile. Heirloom Blade's death trigger would vary too wildly, and I don't have the space for cards to make it function properly.

Remember the Fallen is a recursion spell that I've used before and I'm looking into finding a spot to put it back in. It's a lot better than Argivian Find.

Field of the Dead doesn't do anything relevant. I don't necessarily go wide in combat and a bunch of vanilla 2/2s wouldn't do much beyond being chump block fodder.

Lantern of the Lost or Remorseful Cleric grave hate ideas. Heirloom Blade is a equipment I'm high on grants no evasion but can help keep threats coming. Makes the commander a 2 turn clock I'd suggest 1 changling in the deck so it acts as a tutor for it with unpaired creature types. Or a God so your commander will grab that of it dies. Recursion for big creatures is difficult in white. The options are not generally cost efficient. Argivian Find is good for artifacts but not really a shining piece here. Field of the Dead is autoinclude in many of my powerful decks. It might have a place here.

As wallisface rightfully stated: (btw. you just have to add the username in the bracket, the website will do the formatting itself) Noble Hierarch provides Ramp and Buffs for your creatures.
So the evaluation for Noble Hierarch VS. Thoughtseize, Inquisition of Kozilek, Fatal Push, etc. comes down to Speed VS. Interaction.
Both strategies are viable, the question is what strategy do you prefer and what performs better in your local meta.

The carddraw from Nihil Spellbomb is a nice-to-have, its main purpose is still to remove all cards in a graveyard from the game; keeping mana up to protect your creatues has higher priority. But there were situations where spellbomb even was just a ": Cycling"-card ^^
You can try a lot of differend graveyard hate: Relic of Progenitus, Soul-Guide Lantern, Lantern of the Lost, Grafdigger's Cage, Leyline of the Void, Return to Nature. Whatever works best for you :)
