Lands and tokens and lands and tokens...

Basic strategy here is to dump as many lands on the field as fast as possible, combined with Field of the Dead. various fetch/sack lands are used to double up triggers. Vesuva, Thespian's Stage both can be used to clone Field of the Dead. Letting Golos die is often not a bad thing, as it allows you to double up the FoD triggers.

Deck rebounds from board wipes with cards like Scapeshift and Splendid Reclamation. Creatures like Avacyn, Angel of Hope or Avenger of Zendikar can be combo'd with cards like Shalai, Voice of Plenty or Tajuru Preserver when using Tooth and Nail or Defense of the Heart. Deck could be powered up by putting in an abundance of tutors, counterspells and infinite combo's to pull off those same spells, but I was looking to keep it slightly more casual than that.

There are 3 primary win methods here:

1)The primary overlooked thing by opponents of this deck is the versatility of the lands. There are not just many, but most of them have fairly significant value. With the abundance of mana this deck produces through yielding a very high number of lands to the field, this mana can be used to pump small tokens to high power levels after blockers have been declared.

2) The sheer number of tokens created often can simply overrun an opponent if they do not have a board wipe (or enough to keep up...)

3) Cards such as Purphoros, God of the Forge and Retreat to Hagra very quickly widdle down opponents, especially in combination with Scapeshift or Splendid Reclamation

Counterspells were knowingly left out as this deck relies heavily on land play, which can't be countered. It is a style choice, and not necessarily the most powerful choice.

This deck will struggle against decks tuned for very high speed.

I did add back in more basic lands as the scheer amount of colorless land was actually surprising to me and occasionally led to issues.

Prime opening hands will contain cards that allow extra lands to be played. A Haste enabler is excellent as well. But getting both in one hand is unlikely. An ultimate opening hand would hold both of the above as well as a Crucible of Worlds type card. A green mana source is important as well as half of your very limited non-land cards take green mana to cast. I am considering removing even more other lands just to put in more basic Forests. Nothing worse then pulling all the right cards and holding only colorless mana in hand.

Deck is not well tuned, and Maybe board is stuff that has been left out due to either lack of playing the deck enough to confirm inclusion or not, or simply expensive and I don't have it yet. I was keeping deck to cards I actually own. With this note I'd love feed back, especially if you have experience with this style of deck!

Deck was something I was thinking about for a while, but Golos: 99 Land Commander inspired me to actually give it a try!

Current Plans: Current plan is to move the side board into the mainboard once the cards are acquired, removing the following cards:

Arcane Signet

Gavony Township

Prahv, Spires of Order
