Angelic Page Discussion

The life gain ramps really well, but there's one glaring issue that really prevents this deck from being great. It has an incredibly slow start, as well as being too reliant on a lucky hand. I suggest adding at least a few more 1 - 2 cost creatures. I playtested it for a while and I found I wasn't getting creatures out until turn 4 on average. In my research, I found Angelic Curator, Angelic Page, Emancipation Angel (bounce a low cost angel, play again to gain more life) and Youthful Valkyrie. Another solution is to add mana ramp; mana rocks aren't a bad idea here. I don't think it's worth it to splash another color to add creatures that ramp but it may be worth consideration. Hope this helps.

In regards to Potion of Healing , my logic was "I need something to draw cards, even if it is a cantrip." Most other decks I've seen have Prophetic Prism , so I was running Scroll of Avacyn , but when I saw Potion of Healing , I thought it was neat. Upping the land count might be a good idea anyways.
Thanks for the input! I normally play EDH, but the few times I did play pauper with my friend, we had a good time.

I would look into Vitality first, as she's a cheap creature that starts as a 4/4 in the early game before your life total goes below 25, then gets bigger once you recover. Segovian is a bulk common, and is just hilarious. Serra Avenger is powerful, but comes with a built-in limitation where you can't play it when you need it the most. And Resplendent Angel can make more angels as your lifegain starts up.
And good luck with the rest of your league!

I listened to the CMDR podcast and that brought me here. I play a boros deck however it is a more control style iroas build the list is here http://tappedout.net/mtg-decks/10-06-15-wifes-boros/ . Wanted to reccomend a few cards and see what you think.
Unlike CMDR central I am a big fan of a sunforger package espically in your deck as the +4/+0 on Aurelia, the Warleader can make a huge difference on your clock and be removed to blink her.
I would like to recommend the following additions to your Sunforger package:
- Mistveil Plains, This allows you to reuse one of you sunforger targets by putting it back into your deck from your graveyard
- Comeuppance, I consider this an upgrade to Safe Passage as it still prevents damage but also reflects it back to the source of the damage.
- Expedition Map, This does not ramp the land out like Wayfarer's Bauble does but it allows you to find any land you need not just a basic
As for other cards to think about for your deck I would consider these Creatures: (I went with an angel theme)
- Angelic Page
- Blinding Angel
- Voice of All
- Angel of Serenity, Please note you can exile cards in a graveyard with this, and when it leaves they go back to a players hand
- Angel of Sanctions
- Angel of Condemnation
Non Creatures: As I went with the Angel theme Urza's Incubator to amke all your angels 2 cheaper, I agree with CMDR central to play Pearl Medallion, also might want to consider Seal of the Guildpact, Lastlythink about Sudden Demise it is similar to Aurelia's Fury but kills the creatures instead of making them not able to block.

I don't like Angelic Page, he has to to use his ability, where Exalted is immediate. He can pump a blocker, but not sure the +1/+1 is worth it.
I'd probably rather have a Neurok Stealthsuit (Shroud) over a single use Favor of the Overbeing (Vigilance/Flying). Even if you don't have the for attach, just pay equip. It's not bad, but Exalted/Shroud/Hex are more valuable in single removal scenarios, especially if your sorcery +'s them. Have to reply on the protection spells to save them.
Skarrg Goliath CMC7 Bloodrush at least is instant, Enlarge you'll have to be sure to have the CMC5 + a protection spell (or shroud/hex) before engaging that. Why does it have a monster kitten in the pic!
You should have lots of blockers (the exalted crew), Guardian of the Gateless is a flying blocker, but dont think you need this ability. Palace Guard is even worse with no flying, Fog instead it's the same thing pretty much. Since neither has Exalted anyway.
Banishing Light is similar to Oblivion Ring and doesn't carry the $2 burden of Journey to Nowhere. If you planning on Infinite Combo off of the the ETB/LTB of Journey to Nowhere then keep it, if not, I would just go with Banishing Light (even though it can't infinite combo)
Pentarch Ward feels missing, it gives Pro-Color of your choice, the best part is it draws a card to replace itself (and you can still choose white). Never hurts you because of the draw, unless they remove the creature in response.

2 drop angel Angelic Page
pretty versatile sideboard card Dawn Charm
I love angels, and wanted to make a deck with them, but I couldn't keep it one color. Lightning Angel is my girl!

Based on what I've seen, I'd recommend cutting:
Dusk : This kills 48% of the creatures in your own deck.
Battlegrace Angel : with all your tokens and other angels, you'll rarely have anyone attacking alone.
Confessor : in a lot of cases, this guy won't do much.
Graceblade Artisan : not enough auras to make this dude worth it
Herald of Dromoka : there's only two warriors in the deck, so he doesnt have much combo potential
Things I'd suggest adding:
If you want more suggestions, lemme know and I can provide them. IF you need to trim down more creatures, try looking for things that are outside the theme of your deck. For example, it seems your focus is many small white creatures, life gain, big flyers/angels, and +1/+1 counters, so it would make sense to start trimming down by removing things that don't fit with that theme.
Good luck and happy decking! -Toothy
