Maybeboard explanation 1. Academy Ruins: Passes card evaluation; unresolved problem is land-slot competition. 2. Amulet of Vigor — KEEP. With Yarok, tapped bounce lands generate two Amulet untap triggers, allowing mana production between resolutions; distinct from Spelunking because it creates exploitable untap events rather than changing how lands enter. Venn: Battlefield. 3. An Offer You Can’t Refuse: Credible reactive candidate; no vacancy established. 4. Bala Ged Recovery: Strong flexible recursion candidate; no identified vacancy. 5. Boseiju, Who Endures: Strong utility-land candidate. Acquire. 6. Buried Ruin: Strong artifact-recursion candidate; utility-land competition is the hurdle. 7. Chocobo Racetrack: Needs evidence. 8. Clifftop Lookout: Credible Yarok ETB/land-deployment candidate. 9. Constant Mists: Strong defensive candidate; repeatable Fog integrates naturally with land recursion. 10. Courser of Kruphix: Functional, but vacancy-dependent. 11. Dakmor Salvage: Credible dredge-land candidate; utility-land pressure is the hurdle. 12. Drownyard Temple: Strong low-reliance utility land; excellent land-sacrifice compatibility. 13. Dryad Arbor: KEEP — enables Green Sun's Zenith to function as one-mana land ramp at X=0; if Green Sun's Zenith leaves the deck, Dryad Arbor leaves with it. 14. Echoing Deeps: Strong land-slot candidate; at floor functions as a tenth fetchland, while its ceiling copies premium utility lands or Vesuva for additional Field of the Dead scaling. 15. Emeritus of Woe: Strong candidate to replace Demonic Tutor. 16. Endurance — KEEP. Flexible graveyard protection/reset that can answer targeted graveyard hate and recycle our own graveyard when necessary; creature body keeps it compatible with the deck’s permanent infrastructure. Venn: Battlefield ∩ Graveyard. 17. Exploration Broodship: Strong candidate; natural Zombie production makes Station 8 realistic. 18. Foreboding Landscape: Credible candidate, but below premium utility lands. 19. Glasspool Mimic: Credible amplification candidate; flexible but requires a worthwhile creature. 20. Golgari Rot Farm — KEEP. Bounce-land infrastructure that returns utility lands to hand for reuse and becomes a mana/landfall engine with Atlas + Amulet/Yarok. Venn: Battlefield ∩ Hand. 21. Hedge Maze: Credible typed-land candidate; ETB-tapped risk is significant. 22. Hedron Crab/Ruin Crab: Strong mill/landfall candidate with very low reliance. 23. Hostage Taker — Strong interaction candidate. Removes an opposing artifact or creature while potentially converting it into our resource; excellent against permanent-based control pieces. Venn: Battlefield. 24. Iridescent Vinelasher: Strong landfall payoff with multiplayer reach. 25. Kiora’s Follower: Credible utility candidate; broad compatibility but target-dependent. 26. Loot, Exuberant Explorer: Strong multi-role candidate; replacement slot is the hurdle. 27. Lumra, Bellow of the Woods: Strong late-game land-recovery candidate. 28. Malakir Rebirth: Strong low-reliance protection/recovery candidate. 29. Mana Drain — KEEP for interaction pass. Premium stack interaction with meaningful mana conversion; evaluate later against the deck’s overall interaction package rather than land architecture. Venn: Outside model. 30. Meloku the Clouded Mirror — PARKED behind stronger land-return options. Reusable Battlefield→Hand land recycling plus token production, but comparatively mana-intensive and creature-exposed. Venn: Battlefield ∩ Hand. 31. Mirrorpool: Credible amplification land; flexible but activation-heavy. 32. Mox Opal: Weak current candidate; artifact density is insufficiently reliable. 33. Narset’s Reversal — KEEP for interaction pass. Flexible protection/tempo tool that returns a spell to hand while copying it; useful against removal, tutors, and high-impact instants/sorceries. Venn: Hand. 34. Nimble Obstructionist — Credible interaction candidate. Cycling converts Hand→Graveyard while countering an activated or triggered ability and replacing itself; recursion-compatible creature afterward. Venn: Hand ∩ Graveyard. 35. Nissa of Shadowed Boughs: KEEP — landfall-amplified repeatable creature deployment/recursion. The “lands you control” restriction aligns with the deck's existing six-mana curve and seven-land Field threshold, so it imposes essentially no additional construction burden. 36. Oboro, Palace in the Clouds — EMERGENCY COMBO VALVE / NOT FOR NORMAL BUILD 37. Otawara, Soaring City: Strong low-reliance interaction/utility-land candidate. 38. Princess Yue: Credible top-deck utility candidate; premium land competition is the hurdle. 39. Ramunap Excavator: Strong land-recursion candidate; redundancy must justify the slot. 40. Repudiate // Replicate — KEEP. Preferred over Stifle because Repudiate answers activated/triggered abilities while Replicate gives the card a real Yarok-compatible creature-copying second job. Venn: Battlefield. 41. Seasons Past: Credible late-game recovery bomb; too heavy for ordinary infrastructure. 42. Simic Growth Chamber — KEEP. Same structural role as Rot Farm: repeatable Battlefield→Hand land recycling, landfall generation, and strong Amulet/Atlas interaction. Venn: Battlefield ∩ Hand. 43. Spelunking: Independently employed through ETB card replacement and land deployment; removes ETB-tapped friction from the bounce-land architecture; Yarok amplifies its ETB into additional draw/deployment opportunities. Strong floor before considering cascade ceiling. 44. Springheart Nantuko: Strong amplification/landfall candidate. 45. Squandered Resources — KEEP. High natural employment as land-to-mana conversion; excellent compatibility with land recursion and Awaken the Woods, but use becomes deliberately conservative under graveyard exile. 46. Tale’s End — Strong interaction benchmark. Broader than Stifle because it also counters legendary spells, but currently behind Repudiate // Replicate for Yarok-specific employment. Venn: Outside model. 47. The Gitrog Monster: Strong multi-role land engine; powerful but comparatively heavy. 48. Three Visits: Strong low-reliance land-deployment infrastructure. 49. Tishana’s Tidebinder — KEEP. Flash interaction creature that counters activated/triggered abilities and can disable the originating permanent; Yarok can amplify its ETB trigger when multiple abilities matter. Venn: Battlefield. 50. Trade Routes — LOCK-level structural candidate. Battlefield→Hand land recycling without graveyard reliance, plus Hand→Graveyard land conversion into cards when the graveyard is safe. Directly strengthens the alternate circulation route. Venn: CENTER — Battlefield ∩ Hand ∩ Graveyard. 51. Treasure Vault: Credible artifact utility land; colorless and mana-intensive. 52. Valley Floodcaller: Strong flash/untap utility candidate with broad compatibility. 53. Virtue of Knowledge: Strong ETB/landfall amplification candidate. 54. Volo, Guide to Monsters — Strong amplification candidate. Creature-type overlap is manageable in the current build, and ordinary creature casting can generate additional bodies without requiring Yarok itself. Venn: Battlefield. 55. Volrath’s Stronghold: Strong repeatable creature-recursion utility land. 56. Walking Atlas: Credible throughput candidate; generally outcompeted by Sakura-Tribe Scout. 57. Wood Elves: Strong Yarok-compatible land-deployment creature. 58. Yisan, the Wanderer Bard: Credible package-assembly candidate; slow and highly visible. 59. Zuran Orb: Strong land-to-life resource-conversion candidate.

Reviewed and removed

  1. Consign to Memory: narrow triggered-only coverage, and replicate requires unusually favorable multi-trigger stack states to provide meaningful upside.
  2. Dryad of the Ilysian Grove: Extra land play alone does not justify it over Exploration; mana fixing is unnecessary.
  3. Hedge Shredder: Mill-to-land recovery has insufficient natural employment; it relies too heavily on dedicated mill/Loam-style support to justify the slot.
  4. Kadena’s Silencer: potentially huge multiplayer blowout, but requires dedicated face-down setup and favorable stack density; too much construction friction outside a Morph shell.
  5. Stifle: Exceptional one-mana activated/triggered interaction, but superseded by candidates offering substantially greater utility for a modest increase in cost.
  6. Sylvan Safekeeper: Strong targeted protection, but among our land-sacrifice options its output is least relevant; Squandered Resources advances the engine and Zuran Orb provides broader emergency resilience, while Safekeeper answers neither board wipes nor graveyard hate.
  7. Trickbind: exceptionally secure ability interaction through split second, but too specialized compared with Tale’s End and Repudiate // Replicate at the same mana cost, while Tidebinder offers much greater persistent value.
  8. Willbender: Powerful and amusing redirection ceiling, but Morph imposes too much setup and mana friction without dedicated face-down support.
