Springheart Nantuko

Enchantment Creature — Insect Monk

Bestow (If you cast this card for its bestow cost, it's an Aura spell with enchant creature. It becomes a creature again fi it's not attached.)

Enchanted creature gets +1/+1.

Landfall — Whenever a land enters the battlefield under your control, you may pay if Springheart Nantuko is attached to a creature you control. If you do, create a token that’s a copy of that creature. If you didn’t create a token this way, create a 1/1 green Insect creature token instead.

Great suggestion, Ultarian! I'll be honest, I had to refresh myself on Bestow but I think Springheart Nantuko could be fun. I'll pop it in the Maybeboard and see how it goes!

Might I suggest Springheart Nantuko? Chuck it on a crab for more crabs or play it out as an alternative win condition. Kind of a combination between Phantasmal Image and Scute Swarm.

Cool deck though. Nice one.

Curious as to why you’re not running Springheart Nantuko in the 99? It’s another way to recycle your lands after sacking them if you have the mana to keep making copies. Bestow it on Lumra, sac all your lands after floating the mana, play a land, pay the mana to make a copy of Lumra and get all your lands back. Can do it multiple times a turn as long as you have the mana.

Pretty solid deck! Something I could recommend to make it absolutely silly. Bramble Sovereign, Springheart Nantuko, Helm of the Host to make permanent token copies of Hare Apparent. As well, Altar of the Brood for an alternate win condition.

You got a fair understanding and justification in your ways with Reyhan! Thats great!

Definitely give blade of selves a try, even if it only combo's with Reyhan. -> Or perhaps even stranger choices but personal favorites in Mirror Mockery/Springheart Nantuko enchanted to Reyhan. Worst case you swing a 9/9 Reyhan at someone as early as turn 3, but with something like a Master Biomancer/Crystalline Crawler/Fathom Mage (i can go on and on..) on board that you give the 6 - 18 counters instead this quickly becomes a ridicules board state.

And if you want to stay on synergy and know how to generate 100 counters quickly, you definitely could also appreciate Walking Archive. The golem is all fun and games till everyone suddenly needs to draw their whole library, a method i often win the game with.

Cheers!

Thanks alot! I dislike Living Death, because it can cause problems with Massacre Girl in the graveyard, just like Rise of the Dark Realms.

The other two are amazing suggestions! I will try to get hold of these, and try them out (especially Springheart Nantuko).

Ahh Jarad, my favorite golgari boy aside from The Gitrog, Ravenous Ride! This deck looks nice, I use him in a +1 counter setting where he is often a 7 mana game-ender.

Any thoughts on Spinner of Souls/Living Death? Or perhaps Springheart Nantuko seeing you have some landfall synergy. Copy your biggest guy and sac the token copy for value.

DarthTrevyn on Heart of the Cards! Flubs, the Fool Edition [P]

Flubs, the Fool is the best!

Landfall works amazing with him too!

So basically the more lands you play, the more cards you draw.

With Flubs, the Fool (and many other cards on the field) you’d be able to play at minimum 2 lands each turn… I have averaged 4-6 lands per turn each game.

With the use of cards like Field of the Dead, Scute Swarm, Springheart Nantuko and Rampaging Baloths, each land played is just building a bigger board state. Also, equipping Flubs, the Fool with Blackblade Reforged and swinging big with commander damage is awesome.
