Maybeboard

Summary: This deck is built with a no-infinite-combo house rule in mind (loops capped to 5-per round of play). It aims to punish every opponent as early and effectively as possible. Golos gives access to all five colors for the best options possible and Golos himself gives the deck a 5-CMC land tutor in the command zone.

Meta Considerations: With a no-infinite combos house rule, the meta has these setups and the following strategies for this deck for opposing them: - Various Permanent Play-Draw storms: These almost always rely on the commander heavily. Aim to counter or kill the commander if they expose themselves in doing so. If it's a creature storm (Animar, Chulane, etc) then you only need to worry about them going off big very early (turn 3 or so). Enchantment storms like Tuvasa are trickier because this deck likes its own enchantments a lot. If the board gets ahead of you then there are a few "reset buttons" in here that will often also build some small parity by also wiping creatures, such as Balance . - GY value/shenanigans: If you don't have GY hate ( Ground Seal / Rest in Peace ) then you want to quickly tutor it or prepare to counter or remove the first big enabler they play. Aside from shutting off graveyards, most important thing to do is limit their access to non-creature and non-land mana. - Artifact synergy/combo: I see this less often, but it can be an annoying deck to oppose if it's light on creatures and heavy on protection, but this list includes a lot of artifact hate and a lot of it is one-sided, such as Vandalblast and By Force . Dig for those or single target the main threat pieces. - Various stax-heavy setups designed to stop the above: These tend to be a slower engine but if they sneak in an early and well-timed Stasis or similar then it can be difficult to recover. Hold some instant removal/counters and watch for their non-creature parity enablers in addition to the classic Stax pieces.
