Maybeboard

I want this deck to use ETB effects to gain incremental advantages while controlling the board. It will need ways to control my life total and others in order to always trigger dethrone. It will need free sacrifice outlets from creatures, enchantments, and artifacts. I want a few ways to get things back from the graveyard, just in case something I need leaves early. Like all decks, it will need good card draw, ramp, and removal (both targeted and board wide. This can come from creatures and spells).

Deck criteria: ALL CARDS SHOULD BE EXCITING TO SEE. NO DEAD CARDS Each aspect should be considered from the Quadrant Theory 1. Developing Stage (Getting things setup. Ramp, Card Draw, pieces you need) 2. When I'm At Parity (Standstill) 3. When I'm Behind in the Game (This is most the time in Commander) 4. When I'm Ahead in the Game (Don't really need to worry about this for commander) +38 lands (three that can give Marchesa a +1/+1 counter) +10 Mana ramp +10 Card Draw +5 Single target removal +5 Board Wipes +31 Cards for MEAT of the Deck. Cards should overlap 25 Standalone cards (cards that are just good by their self and can work well with commander) 10-12 Enhancers (cards that amplify or are amplified by your commander, standalones, or other enhancers) 7-8 Enablers (Cards that cover a weakness or fill a gap in your strategy) Protection, counterspells +1 Commander Total*= 100 30-35 Manna curve is a bell curve. Because not in green and ramp is so-so, CMC should stay the bulk in 3 to 4 drop range. Only a few big spells

This is my first serious deck, so if anyone has suggestions, please leave some comments! It is Aggro/Control with a budget of $250. The main deck without the side board/maybe is under that amount. If you are looking for something similar and want a more in depth description, go to this deck (http://tappedout.net/mtg-decks/marchesa-agro-control/?cat=cost). It is where I went to get my inspiration. So let's break it down some.

With this build, you can go super aggro and just constantly throw your guys at your opponents because they will come back with Unspeakable Symbol . Also something really cool with Marchesa's third ability, it is not regeneration, so if a card destroies all your creatures, like Damnation or Wrath of God , they still come back at the beginning of the end step. Yup, any end step, so if it happens on someone else's turn, they come back at the beginning of their end step. Then, you have the control.

Your creatures have the ability to come back, so you can sit back and have blockers that always come back. This way, you don't draw too much hate too early in the game. You can also keep creatures to block as a deterrent for anyone to attack, due to the ETBs. Then, with the sack outlets and recursion, you can deny control against your creatures and still get effects. You should never have a creature die that will not comeback that you didn't want to die. With the sacing and recurrsion we have some infinite combos.

One of the first one's that I didn't notice was Ashnod's Altar + Flayer of the Hatebound + Sage of Fables . You sac Flayer of the Hatebound with Ashnod's Altar . It comes back into play with a +1/+1 counter because of undying. Then, you use the two mana from Ashnod's Altar to remove the +1/+1 counter with Sage of Fables . This does 5 damage each time because of Flayer entering with the +1/+1 and is infinite. The next one is infinite tokens.

This combo requires Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker + Zealous Conscripts . You tap Jiki to copy Conscripts. When the token enters the battlefield, gain control of Jiki, untap him, and give him haste. Now, you have infinite tokens with haste.

I have yet to play this deck, but I can't wait to start playing! Just give me suggestions, comments, whatever you fancy! Thanks for taking a look!
