Exava, Rakdos Blood Witch Discussion
I know with the Humans lists I've messed around with, the problem I had was getting that "oomf!" a lot of other tribal decks have. Goblins has Goblin Chieftain. Merfolk have 29,834,891 bazillion different lords. Elves can snowball into Craterhoof Behemoth...and so on and so forth.
I also think the list is just a few pieces away from becoming an established archetype. I already think it's stronger than Slivers. If I had to put my finger on one thing in particular, it'd probably be some type of top-deck finisher. Exava, Rakdos Blood Witch saw some play in Vintage because she smashes Jace, the Mind Sculptor. She also works with Experiment One and Champion of the Parish. Surrak, the Hunt Caller and Samut, Voice of Dissent are also options.

Thanks for understanding the deck and not suggesting a ton of expensive cards ElTacoDude. You are right, this deck is built from cards that I already own. I had a lot of Rakdos cards left over from building Devil's Revenge and I thought they could make a nice commander deck. Am I choosing the right commander between Exava, Rakdos Blood Witch, Mogis, God of Slaughter, & Rakdos, Lord of Riots? Thanks for suggesting that website. I think I have used it before but forgot about it. Rakdos, Lord of Riots is the most popular Rakdos commander, so I think I'm good there. I'm probably going to start with buying some of the cheaper cards, see how the deck plays, and then figuring out what expensive cards I can't live without. Thanks for the help!

Hey severininfurs, do you pay attention to the Tapped Out Casual to Competitive percentage? I noticed that this deck went from 42% competitive down to 38% competitive when I swapped my Exava, Rakdos Blood Witch and Gurmag Angler. I'm not saying the deck was better before, but I was just wondering if anyone pays attention to that.

Thanks severininfurs! I was thinking of getting rid of Exava, Rakdos Blood Witch. I like her abilities, but I only have 1 other creature that has +1/+1 counters, so that part of it doesn't synergize with my deck anymore, except when I have a Fists of the Demigod on the battlefield. I used to have more creatures with unleash that added +1/+1 counters, so she made more sense then. The Gurmag Angler works really well with my Faithless Looting and I like your point that it has the possibility of being cast for less mana. This was the very first deck I constructed. It has changed a lot and come a long way from what it used to be. Thanks for your help.

dzapf2008 I completely understand the sentiment. Deck slots feel pretty tight for my deck as well. I would remove Exava, Rakdos Blood Witch as well. Thematically she's awesome, but I personally think the Angler is better because he can come out for really cheap with delve. So, even if you cast him on turn 4 or turn 5, you would still be able to keep up enough mana to play a Terminate or Lightning Bolt in response to something your opponent does, as opposed to tapping out with Exava.

severininfurs thanks for the suggestion. You and Vlasiax have suggested the Gurmag Angler, but neither of you suggested what cards I would remove to add it in. What would you suggest? I was thinking that I would take out Exava, Rakdos Blood Witch or Spike Jester and I am leaning towards Exava. For the most part, I like how the deck plays and don't want to change it much.

Apologies ahead of time; this will be a long post. Edgar is my introduction to the commander scene and he came at a great time, since I've been wanting to rebuild my old vampire tribal. A couple things to consider (as I've been looking into it, too).
Regarding the counters, Metallic Mimic naming Vampire would help by immediately pumping any vampires you cast and each token you produce. Cathars' Crusade would be bonkers with Edgar. Mikaeus, the Lunarch boosts all creatures, too. I wouldn't be too concerned with removing vampires for non-vampires honestly. It can still be tribal with a few helpful "thrulls" if the cards work too well not to include. (Also Mephidross Vampire and Voldaren can change them.) Urge to Feed is spot removal with the possibility of pumping.
You could also consider some of the Abzan cards that would benefit all of your creatures with counters on them, such as Abzan Falconer and Mer-Ek Nightblade. I believe Whip of Erebos is strictly better than the Battlepriest, though. Along the same lines, Exava, Rakdos Blood Witch provides another haste card, which is scary (and she fits the flavour while not being a vampire herself).
Other thoughts are the use of Ajani planeswalkers in tandem with (or in place of) some of the Sorin planeswalkers. Fits the flavour? No. Fits the theme? Hell yes.
Final considerations. Anointed Procession is also crazy with Edgar. While it would appear underwhelming on its own, Edgar's eminence effect will always make it a threat. Collective Effort is great utility with versatile removal or pump spell in one. Kalitas, Traitor of Ghet is a pricey card, but amazing. And I feel Coat of Arms is superior to Door of Destinies.
Good luck with everything and let me know if you make any changes that work!

hmmmm, what about Exava, Rakdos Blood Witch? Having her on the field and activating Licia's ability will give her haste, which is nice.
Blood Baron of Vizkopa is probably also a good idea. Lifelink and pro black/white.
Olivia, Mobilized for War for more hastey shenanigans.
