My unhealthy love of Boros in EDH strikes again! This time it's Tiana, Ship's Caretaker !
Here's my list of ideas for her! My Friend Hamsumcheese and I have been brewing ideas for her on our discord. Here's their list: Tiana edh. It was mostly their idea, I've just been tagging along and provide support :)
Strategy, Combos, Synergy, and Card Choices
Basically, the deck revolves completely around Bludgeon Brawl turning all or our non-creature artifacts into equipment, meaning we can sac and return anything to our hand, which is pretty neat.
First off this makes Hedron Archive , Mind Stone , Dreamstone Hedron and Commander's Sphere really good because we can sac and reuse them for more draw. Vedalken Orrery means we can do this every turn too, and they cost reducers like Foundry Inspector , Cloud Key , and Jhoira's Familiar make it really cheap!
Second, B-Brawl makes treasure tokens into 0-equip cost equipment, so playing Curse of Opulence or Brass's Bounty gives us a ton of treasure, which we can then equip for free to our two lieutenants: Kemba, Kha Regent and Valduk, Keeper of the Flame . Now we can get a ton of creature tokens too! Then something like Slate of Ancestry or Skullclamp can draw half our deck! Plus, we can use Treasure for ramp if needed! Versatility! Clue tokens also work like treasure tokens, so Bygone Bishop is an important piece too. Kemba and Valduk are important, so I have Thalia's Lancers and requiter of the guard + a ton of draw to get them!
Teshar, Ancestor's Apostle is simply amazing in this deck. He allows me to rebuild after a board wipe instantly by casting some cheap artifacts to get creatures back. He also enables a ton of combos which I may be adding soon. Him + Restoration Specialist + Urza's Bauble = draw for as much white mana I have. Him + Myr Retriever + Urza's Bauble + sac outlet = infinite ETBs/cast triggers which can be useful.
That's the main plan, all this is backed by a strong Boros equipment theme, with Sram, Senior Edificer and Puresteel Paladin , cost reducers, artifact sac outlets to gain other value, and other random synergies.
She's Boros, so of course I'm gonna make a deck with her! This deck is much more janky than I'm used too but we'll see how it goes! Any help/suggestions/comments/upvotes are appreciated!
