Prying Blade Discussion

One more Siren's Ruse and Opt, and take out Depths of Desire.

2 more Chart A Course and take out Sword-Point Diplomacy

Toss out Deadeye Plunderer and put in two more Kitesail Freebooter.

Side board Prying Blade for March of the Drowned.

If you use it with Dire Fleet Hoarder after sacking them with Ruthless Knave or someone kills your knave and you sack it you can get 2 to 3 treasures.

And just for fun and just because Mechanized Production can help if youre almost there but not quite for revel

Prying Blade help get that treasure count up.

Academy Ruins, Volrath's Stronghold and Cavern of Souls would be great in this list.

I must say I like the idea of Prying Blade onto Slither Blade or River Sneak.

I am running a Red/Black Artifacts deck at the moment and it's quite fun, but I quickly realised Revel in Riches is just too slow unless you're playing treasure producers and only removal... The better finished would be Marionette Master as you can immediately sac your treasures once it hits the field and let's you go for the kill. It also goes well with your unblockable creatures since that means your opponents will likely not be at 20 life anymore.

QL1Max I appreciate your feedback, and I at least agree on the Prying Blade part. I added it to see how it would fare, but the only time any of these creatures would attack would be if you had a butt-load of servos and just stampede over your opponent. As for the other cards, if this was just a token deck, then they would probably already be in here. Unfortunately, Mechanized Production and Marionette Master specify artifacts, so I'm limiting this deck to artifact tokens.

As for the sideboard, I just put up cards because people were clamoring that it needed one. The thing is, though, I believe that sideboards should be player specific, so if you make this deck, or a version of it, go ahead and add them. I really couldn't care less about the sideboard. These are just kinds of cards I imagine are useful in a sideboard that also pertain to the maindeck.

Ninjew42 love the drafted cards a few things i say pull the Sword-Point Diplomacy for Prying Blade cuz in standard the diplomacy is only great when u are ahead cuz when u r behind they will only give u things the worsen your position. Another thing i look to get is Ruthless Knave could be very handy once revel is in play.

Hey man after looking at your deck I would Run 4 Anointed Procession and 4 Hidden Stockpile and wouldnt have any Prying Blade. Since its a token deck I would a one drop like Sacred Cat or Legion's Landing  Flip. And maybe a board clearer in your sideboard such as Fumigate or Settle the Wreckage

I played a few times with your current build. Ive found that the early game is slow. A few times Ive found myself going the first 3 or 4 turns without any summons on deck for Prying Blade and I think adding the 4x Siren Stormtamer is a possible fix. Ill report back once I tinker. Thanks.

u/g morph + infinite mana and Turns!

Hello. My name is Rocksanne, and i am trying to make a favorite mechanic of mine work in commander. Obviously, that mechanic is morph. I understand that morph is very slow and clunky, but i enjoy playing it. I'm sort of still new to commander, and looking for tips and tricks.

One question i have, is 40 lands (and a few excelerants) too over the top? I did this in order to ensure i hit my first 3 land drops, or have access to 3 mana by turn three.

Because morph is so mana heavy, i have included a few mana cheap infinite mana combos. Are they worth playing? or should i play more defensive cards that tap my opponents creatures down?

To go with the need for mana, i have some cards that cant be blocked to combo with Prying Blade, is that worth it?

There is also the infinite turn combo with my commander.

Let me know what you think of this deck, changes that need to be made, and ways to help streamline a clunky mechanic.

Thank you in advance!
