Extus, Oriq Overlord   is a Mardu commander capable of using infinite mana combos to win the game through unlimited hasty Blood Avatar tokens.

Extus also has a Magecraft ability that promotes a unique style of graveyard recursion just by casting spells while also being a component for use in multiple combos. Both halves of this card can be used to achieve a win condition.

Among the other Mardu commanders, Extus probably could draw the most comparisons to Tymna the Weaver + Jeska, Thrice Reborn in the sense that both decks have an infinite mana outlet in their command zones.

Tymna being a card draw engine through combat while Jeska having less restrictive color requirements makes them perhaps more desirable in comparison to Extus but the Oriq Overlord has some unique attributes to him.

Magecraft:

On his own, Extus is just a 2/4 with Double Strike but the Magecraft ability is where he truly shines. (Side note: A 2/4 with Double Strike rules, Extus can dish out and tank so much.)
Whenever you cast or copy an instant or sorcery spell, you may return a nonlegendary creature card from your graveyard to your hand.

So just by casting spells (i.e., playing the game), you can acquire graveyard value as long as Extus is on the battlefield.
This ability is exceptionally handy for repeating any sort of value such as Darkblast (enabler + removal) and Street Wraith (card draw).

Spells with creature sacrifices as part of the cost are eligible for returning the creature to your hand by Extus due to the steps that take place up to rule 601.2f, required before casting during rule 601.2i.

Magecraft is part of 3 combos, noted down below in Win Conditions.

Blood Avatar:

The other side of Extus' card is Awaken the Blood Avatar. This sorcery spell causes an edict for opponents and gives a 3/6 black and red Avatar creature token with haste and "Whenever this creature attacks, it deals 3 damage to each opponent". Furthermore, as an additional cost to cast this spell, you may sacrifice any number of creatures. This spell costs less to cast for each creature sacrificed this way. Note that the token is NOT legendary and does NOT need to deal combat damage to burn..

Primarily, the Blood Avatar will be an infinite mana win condition but the spell Awaken the Blood Avatar does have use mid-game (say turn 3+) as a combined pseudo-wrath and burn on a large body.
Sacrifice creatures to reduce the cost, cast the Extus side, and return those creatures through use of Magecraft.
