Huge retooling lately and this is basically Ayli V2.

A brief history:My first BW deck started as Ghost Council of Orzhova, which sought to abuse the sac outlet as a commander. The deck felt too slow, even back then, even during my nascent deckbuilding years. Years after I had taken that deck apart, Ayli was spoiled and I got my hands on a foil copy as fast as possible and essentially rebuilt a more modern version. Times had changed, at the time I had a card:Karador and a monoblack deck and Ayli just felt like a mashup of the two. I really liked her, so I decided on a theme to differentiate her. I thought about clerics, but everybody does Ayli clerics. After searching for a bit, I decided on humans. I kept the reanimator feel and changed most of the creatures to humans. The deck did well, it wasn't fast, but I was winning more than I was losing. I went through a period where I was looking for 'hidden gems' or decent cards that aren't well known, and while listening to an episode of 'Commanderin' they mentioned that Mesa Enchantress could be a decent draw engine for white, and the final piece of the current iteration of this deck fell into place. I already had quite a few enchantments, but I started swapping out as many nonessential artifacts as I could for humans and enchantments that did similar things. The last real change was to turn this into a combo deck rather than a slow drain because it was stronger and a lot of the pieces were already there.

So I now have a human/enchantress/reanimator deck with a light hatebear package. The deck works quite well, especially in my meta, where threatening generals are plentiful and people making aggressive plays in the beginning are the ones targeted, and decks like this that sit back and don't pick fights have a bit of an easier time. The sac outlet and lifegain that Ayli provides are the main pulls for me, I'd still play her if she didn't have the exile ability, which isn't something I use all that often. That being said, I stay very conscious of where my life total is at and if I'm able to use that ability. The four paths to victory in this deck are Angel of Glory's Rise, Monastery Mentor, Sadistic Hypnotist, and Xathrid Necromancer. These cards very quickly accrue huge value and do lots of work to set up whatever win condition I have.
