Hey. Funny enough, I've been working on this archetype for a while now. Excited for the new convoke cards. I'm not here to tell you how to build your deck, but I do wanna share some of my experience with you.

I've tried a ton of different versions, spanning all 5 colors. At the core of every single version is 4 Field Surgeon 4 Stonybrook Schoolmaster. Beyond that, it's kinda fair game. I started out in green builds with stuff like Jaspera Sentinel and Sprout Swarm and whatnot, but those builds never performed that well for me. You'd think they would, but it just never felt like what the deck needed. When you build around Field Surgeon and Schoolmaster, what you need from there is redundancy and ways to stabilize, not necessarily ways to go even wider. At least, that was my conclusion. To that end, I would highly highly recommend Samite Herbalist and Veteran Armorer. You kinda have herbalist subbed out for Judge of currents, which is fine too, but I really value the scry from herbalist. Especially early game. If you stumble at getting on the board early, the deck can look kind of pathetic to be totally honest lmao. Oh, and Veteran Armorer just does so much work at preserving your board. Completely frees you up from worrying about Suffocating Fumes and Electrickery. Obsidian Acolyte is extremely important out of the board. Among other things, it makes you a lot safer against Pestilence.

The two versions I've had the most success with (and neither of them are updated to account for new cards yet) are my Orzhov and Azorius builds. Especially with Meeting of the Minds existing now, I totally suspect that Azorius will be how I run it most often now. Azorius Surgeon and the tap sisters, if you care to take a look. I really need to update each, but they're both a lot of fun.

Also, don't be a coward, you gotta run at least one copy of ~~Ancestral Recall~~ Shared Discovery.

This all came out a bit more eclectically worded than I meant it too, but I'm excited to see somebody else working on this archetype. Godspeed.

Nice deck!I like your approach - you use most powerful cards in each color. Also i consider your work on categorization of cards.

There is few cards you may like to your "stax" theme:Rhystic Deluge can tap
Rishadan Cutpurse can force your opponents to sacrifice permanents and great with flickers
Escape Routes will bounce your Palace Guard when its about to dead or serch more auras with Heliod's Pilgrim
Righteous Aura is better then any circle of protection (i guess)
Detainment Spell better then Arrest and Faith's Fetters, because you have alot of prevent already, but this cheaper
Field Surgeon save your creatures from Pestilence or such
Soltari Visionary maybe fine, considering you have only 1 enchantment removal
Snuff Out better then Doom Blade because it can be played for

Entrei Because it's moronic to play CARD A for the sole reason that it is good with CARD B (when CARD A is terrible without CARD B), unless you have enough copies of cards that can substitute for CARD B. If you play Ivorytusk Fortress because it works with Cryptolith Rite, but no other cards that either have or grant tap abilities, you're going to end up with your elephant doing nothing most games. However, if you play Ivorytusk Fortress with Rishkar, Peema Renegade, Earthcraft, Glare of Subdual, Cryptolith Rites, Diversionary Tactics, Nullmage Shepherd, Symbiotic Deployment, Field Surgeon, Selesnya Evangel, and Sandsower, your elephant is probably going to be useful in most games where you draw it.

Note: I don't recommend playing some of those cards. Sandsower seems terrible without an absurd number of creatures, at which point you should be playing Collective Blessing instead.

The Field Surgeon makes "active" cards like Daru Spiritualist, while the D'Avenant Healer has ping very tactical, that's why I am undecided ahaha

Love this deck! If the opponent puts Electrickery or Shrivel after game one you can use Field Surgeon or Shields of Velis Vel

CosmicTurban,
That's a good idea on the Vandalblast ... I've been super-pleased with Aura Shards in my Rith deck, but I'm not sure it's such a good fit here.

I love the idea of Aligned Hedron Network to get additional ETB effects. I've seen that with O-ring, but never thought about it with the Netwrok. Definitely worth a look for the mainboard, and it's great in my sideboard no matter what.

I had looked at Rootborn Defenses early on, as a potential extra ETB+sac' for Haz' ... it's probably worth a relook again for protection.

And yeah, I've started running Boros Charm with Rith and love it. May find a home here too :-)

Battlefield Medic is kind of interesting. I've used Field Surgeon in previous decks, but hadn't ever looked at the Medic. Will keep it in mind.

Cathars' Crusade is more pump than I want in this deck, but's it's an amazing card for sure.

Flameshadow Conjuring is great, and going in for sure!

Thanks again!
