Hey all! Welcome to my Marchesa, the Black Rose deck! This is my only steady deck, I tend to switch my other decks around every few weeks. I have a lot of fun with this deck, and I hope that you have as much fun with this deck that I do! Feel free to copy it and twist it around and make it your own! If you do copy it, just give me a little credit in the comments!
Though this deck was originally supposed to be really fast and aggro, it eventually turned into a more midrange deck. The game plan is really simple, play as much as you can as soon as you can. Playing Marchesa as soon as you can, but only if you have a creature out to attack with!

Sacrificing creatures is the main program of the deck, along with stealing opponent's creatures! With Marchesa's effect, when a creature an opponent controls is sacrificed with a counter on it while it's under your control, it is yours at the end of the turn!

Try to put at least one +1/+1 counter on each creature you control, to prevent board wipes and removal from killing your creatures. This should be easy early game, as you're not really a threat until Marchesa is out on the board with a few creatures.

Anger - Haste is amazing, especially when it's on all your creatures

Butcher of Malakir - Whenever you sacrifice a creature, which happens a lot, your opponents have to sacrifice theirs as well

Carrion Feeder - Sac outlet that essentially can't die once Marchesa is out

Crypt Ghast - A lil' bit of ramp along with some life gain

Cytoplast Manipulator - Easy thief, takes opponents creatures with its graft ability and the tap

Dack's Duplicate - Copying of opponent's creatures, along with its own dethrone trigger

Dire Fleet Daredevil - You get to copy your opponents instants and sorceries. It's an ETB trigger, so every time it comes back it can copy more instants and sorceries

Dominus of Fealty - Every upkeep you can steal a creature

Drana, Liberator of Malakir - Crazy counter generator, along with first strike it can go crazy

Exava, Rakdos Blood Witch - Gives everything haste as well as enters with a +1/+1 counter of their own

Falkenrath Aristocrat - Sacrifice outlet, along with its own +1/+1 counter generation

Flayer of the Hatebound - Deals damage to whatever you want whenever a creature enters the battlefield under your control! Comes with undying, its very own Marchesa-type effect

Fleshbag Marauder - Another card which forces your opponents to sacrifice creatures! It can sacrifice itsself as well, so you don't have to lose another creature

Gonti, Lord of Luxury - Another stealing card! Great to cast opponents creatures to keep for later

Greater Gargadon - A crazy sacrifice outlet which almost always puts down a huge 9/7 body once it's done

Hell's Caretaker - Brings back creatures back from your graveyard in exchange for sacrifices of your own

Herald of Secret Streams - Makes pretty much all your creatures unblockable whenever you attack

Hostage Taker - More stealing whenever it enters the battlefield! Doubles as removal for pesky threats. It's an exile ability so it isn't affected by indestructable

Impaler Shrike - Crazy card draw on a body!

Necropolis Regent - Gives a ton of +1/+1 counters to your creatures whenever they deal damage

Olivia, Mobilized for War - A +1/+1 counter creator in exchange for discarded cards

Puppeteer Clique - More stealing creatures from graveyards, along with its own revival techniques

Pyreheart Wolf - Undying creature with Menace

Reef Worm - When this thing dies, it goes crazy with all the counters

Ryusei, the Falling Star - Revivable board wipe! Comes back very easily when used with Marchesa

Sidisi, Undead Vizier - Easy library searching, doubles as a singular sacrifice outlet

Solemn Simulacrum - A staple in almost all EDH decks! Easy to revive as well

Stalking Vengeance - Damage whenever a creature dies, which happens a lot in this deck!

Vindictive Lich - Some pretty good effects whenever it dies

Viscera Seer - 1-mana sac outlet

Yahenni, Undying Partisan - Sac outlet on top of free +1/+1 counters

Zealous Conscripts - Takes control of opponents creatures every time that it enters the battlefield

Breath of Fury - An insane amount of combat phases, the deck doesn't care about sacrificing creatures

Dead Man's Chest - Great for right before you steal an opponent's creatures and sacrifice them

Dictate of Erebos - Another group sacrifice effect

Goblin Bombardment - Sac outlet that deals damage to opponents or opponents creatures

Grave Betrayal - Amazing stealing card, makes the creatures come back with their own +1/+1 counter

Invasion Plans - One of my favourite cards, makes the attacker control all of combat!

Shifting Shadow - Great way to get free creatures

Unspeakable Symbol - Great +1/+1 counter generator

Warstorm Surge - Another ETB damage ability

Altar of Dementia - Sac outlet that gets rid of opponent's cards

Ashnod's Altar - Sac outlet that can give a crazy amount of mana!

Gem of Becoming - Easy land finder that balances out the colours

Hammer of Purphoros - Haste on your creatures

Helm of Possession - Another stealing card

Lightning Greaves - Haste and shroud to protect Marchesa

Sol Ring - Staple ramp

Sword of Light and Shadow - A little bit of recursion and life gain as well as protection from removal

Sword of the Animist - Ramp whenever anything attacks

Act of Aggression - Instant-speed stealing

Brainstorm - Draw fixing

Cyclonic Rift - Soft board wipe

Terminate - Instant speed removal

Blasphemous Act - Board wipe, becomes very cheap later on

Death Cloud - Mass board destruction

Harness by Force - Repeatable stealing card

Insurrection - Win-con! Steal everything and go crazy

Kari Zev's Expertise - Stealing creatures with the bonus of a free mana card

Mark of Mutiny - Takes a creature and gives it a +1/+1 counter

Mass Mutiny - Another win-con

Night's Whisper - Some card draw

Slave of Bolas - Another stealing card

Torment of Hailfire - Some more board destruction, no-one likes to lose life

Nicol Bolas, God-Pharaoh - A great card, easy to steal cards from opponents for free, hand removal, and insane board destruction
