Work in progress deck:

I am trying to ramp up in the early game, build a big mana base then fire the cannons.

Built up manabase to Lethal damage through 'land-or-mana matters' spells, ideally Exsanguinate or Gray Merchant of Asphodel.

While I don't want to go mono black I am really trying to be mostly black for the specific power finishers and removal.

I am fairly certain that I want green for ramp, but am not settled on whether or not I should go blue for protection and draw. If I go with blue it would be a splash.

It will look a little like a black devotion deck except that I don't really plan to have many creatures or non-lands in play reliably. Many of the creatures are utility creatures that will not likely stick around long. There are some graveyard cycle and discard tools, but that is really just to go beyond the in-hand cards since I see running down to a small hand size in the early game before reloading or tutoring for the power.

I feel really vulnerable to creature decks, but would present a mostly non-threatening presence except for the fast growing mana base. Also, I am trying to stay on a really tight budget for this. I have cabal coffers and a few of the other pricier cards, but I am not looking to add expensive additions - rather I would be looking to cut the expensive cards that don't fit well. Total cost should be well under $200 at the end and should make use of cabal coffers and a 'big mana' or 'lands-matter' finisher.
