This is a current version of my Niv-Mizzet, Parun deck based around control with a few different win conditions. The primary win condition is Curiosity + Niv-Mizzet, Parun but offers lots of support and Plan B strategies. Other notable cards that synergize include Mizzix's Mastery + Sentinel Tower + Thousand-Year Storm , Finale of Revelation + Irencrag Feat , Mindmoil + Niv-Mizzet, Parun , Niv-Mizzet, Parun + Veyran, Voice of Duality , Niv-Mizzet, Parun + Psychosis Crawler . Niv is hard to cast and becomes a target quickly, so it’s important to include support with counterspells and control, as well as mana ramp and Command Beacon cast Niv. Protect Niv with cards like Basilisk Collar + Lightning Greaves + Swiftfoot Boots and return the graveyard back to library for draw win conditions with Commit / Memory + Elixir of Immortality . I’ve included a few other cards with similar effects to surprise opponents who may prioritize eliminating Niv-Mizzet, parun, such as Niv-Mizzet, the Firemind and Ovika, Enigma Goliath.

I usually play this in a 3-4 person group and focus on controlling the board until I can activate a combo or ping enough times to win. This deck has been built slowly over time without proxies, so some staples for Niv Mizzet like Jeweled Lotus are not included. There are a lot of strategies that work with Niv or could be more focused, such as wheeling, focusing on infinite combos, Laboratory Maniac, pinging damage/burn, or leveraging (x) cost spells. There are additional cards that offer the same win condition as Curiosity like Ophidian Eye + Tandem Lookout . The "maybeboard" includes a broad range of cards that work well with Niv Mizzet, Parun. You can be outright mean with a wheel strategy and Narset, Parter of Veils. Hopefully you can use this decklist as a guidepost for your own deck.
