First off, always fun to look at someone else's idea so thanks for posting! If I were to offer a suggestion, Kaza, Roil Chaser seems odd considering you are not running many wizards and then when you look at the potential mana saved from his ability, it is very low as not many of the instant/sorcery cards require colorless mana. I feel as though he could be removed for something else that could better fill that roll.

Naru Meha, Master Wizard is legendary. Are you sure that the combo n. 2 with Twinflame/Heat Shimmer works?

About combo n.4: Isochron Scepter needs 2 mana for activate, maybe you need a sol ring or two mana rocks to works. And why you need Kaza, Roil Chaser + Aphetto Alchemist for that combo?

I like this! An uncommon Commander with some spice in the list. This seems the perfect deck for Student of Elements  Flip, and I don't think I've seen a better list for Mass Diminish and Polymorphist's Jest.

The easiest addition, imo, is Trinket Mage to fetch Basilisk Collar, Sol Ring, etc.

Cards like Archaeomancer and Ardent Elementalist aren't particularly exciting, but they do help by adding more recursion/redundancy to the deck. The Mirari Conjecture does something similar, but with an added bonus after two turns.

Enchantments like Dismiss into Dream and Cowardice are some spicy ways to turn blue cantrips into removal.

I think the token producers (especially Young Pyromancer) conflict with T&L's second ability, but I also think they offer up an opportunity for a new win condition: Dragonshift. If you go this route, I'd suggest adding cards like Murmuring Mystic, Talrand, Sky Summoner, Metallurgic Summonings and Shark Typhoon. Deekah, Fractal Theorist deserves special mention, as the tokens it creates will keep their +1/+1 counters even after being Dragonshifted.

I don't like Kaza, Roil Chaser here, because I see this as a deck that wants to be casting a bunch of small spells, not a few large or X spells. I also think you are leaning too heavily into copying spells for much the same reason. Copying a Brainstorm =/= copying a Comet Storm. Even copying Stitch in Time feels like a waste. Maybe take out cards like Increasing Vengeance for more counterspells or interaction? Archmage Emeritus, Niv-Mizzet, Parun and Wavebreak Hippocamp help you maintain card advantage even when countering your opponent's threats.

Overall, I feel this deck is looking to control the board with cards like Basilisk Collar or Mass Diminish + Tibor and Lumia, maintain card parity with counterspells + cantrips and Archmage Emeritus (and company), and then follow up with either a swarm of tokens + Dragonshift/Day of the Dragons or individual threats such as Niv-Mizzet or even Nezahal, Primal Tide or Hullbreaker Horror. I think you'd be best served by upping your interaction/counterspell suite, eliminating some of the more expensive sorceries (everything 4+ MV) and X-spells, and focusing less on spell copying in favor of casting more cheap spells in the first place. I hope this helps! I haven't really thought much about this commander before, so thanks for bringing it to my attention. Might try my own spin with this lovely Izzet couple.

I don't run Mairsil, the Pretender but I feel like we get a handful of cards with activated abilities that are worth using assuming we aren't going for peak efficiency and casual fun.

From DnD alone I would consider these depending on how I built the deck:

Some other sets:

But also just because a commander doesn't get new cards worth putting in doesn't mean it can't be fun. There are tons of fringe commanders that are fun building just because they lack support.

Ah, I see what you mean about the deck classification if putting Kaza, Roil Chaser into the mix — the guys I play with don't know what the words Standard, Modern, Pauper, Legacy, etc, mean, so as long as I've got about 60 cards in my deck, we're good to play. I did spot the Naban, Dean of Iteration in your maybeboard which got my deck-building gears turning, so curious to see where you end up on that exploration. Cheers!

Hey nathanielhebert! This deck it's building in paper and maybe is the harder strong for my decks "Pezzent". Goblin Electromancer it's alredy present in 4X and Kaza, Roil Chaser put it in the pioneer version. Now i would like to increase Adeliz, the Cinder Wind or Umara Mystic ,they are two very strong cards! I should do it soon a mono u mage deck based on Naban, Dean of Iteration ,if you want to stay updated add me for friend ^^. I have lots of other ultra-budget decks if you want to have a look

Just piping in to say this is a cool concept — similar in spirit to your Unblockable Pezzent! deck, but with flying, hasted wizards to sneak the damage through! Loving the mana-ramp with Goblin Electromancer , and the various wizard synergies to keep spell costs down and to get those damage counters in place. (the +1/+1's sometimes compound quickly in a turn!)

I have a speedy, Warrior-tribal deck, and now I'm curious to pit them against each other in the ultimate showdown of Wizards vs. Warriors. In practise, I've been "mana-screwed" a few games with bad shuffles, so when I'm building this in paper, will likely add some dual-lands like Shivan Reef that I've got on hand. While I'm at it, I also threw a Kaza, Roil Chaser into the cart — I'll let you know how it goes, but happy to be soon flying to victory. Kudos!

Elite Arcanist / Isochron Scepter can be a way to get cantrips/bolts on a stick to give more frequent cast-triggers. Kaza, Roil Chaser can help fit in some larger-costed instant/sorcery finishers if you need them (like Teleportal if you're running into players that can block flyers) or maybe something spicy like Rite of Replication ; but would clash with your smaller spells and cantrip vibe.
