Sacrifice the goods and keep the costs low. Bait people to play good cards and then watch as they cry when you bring them to the altar and pass them the knife. Still a work in progress, but liking the idea of a little group hug and some ritual sacrifice. Could make for some interesting plays by the whole table. Could also blow up in my face, but that's what makes the game fun.
