Introduction

This is a Four Color Jeskai Ascendancy combo deck. I want utility mana creatures and mana rocks and untap them multiple times to make copious amounts of mana. After making near infinite mana, I want to win the game with one of the various artifact win conditions in the deck.

Overview

Kydele, Chosen of Kruphix

your text here

Kydele is the engine of this deck. She is a mana dork that adds to your mana pool for each card you've drawn this turn. These doesn’t seem like much until you are able to draw a large amount of cards. These is easily achievable by playing draw spells, such as Thirst for Knowledge. The really power comes after you established the ability to untap her. Kydele makes infinite with with Umbral Mantle( after Kydele taps for ) and Staff of Domination ( after Kydele taps for ). However, creating infinite mana is just one part of the plan.

Jeskai Ascendancy

your text here

This is the other reason I’m playing these colors. I’ve always like this card since it was spoiled in Khans of Tarkir. Whenever you cast a noncreature spell, untap creatures you control and you may draw a card. If you do, discard a card. This untaps all of the mana dorks and loots, which cause Kydele to tap for more mana. This with Kydele is one of the main reason I’m playing so many cards. Everytime she untaps, I want to play whatever I draw to keep the engine going. Be careful, though. Looting is card replacement, so eventually you will run out of cards unless you play an actual card draw spell.

Paradox Engine

your text here

Whenever you cast a spell, untap all nonland permanents you control. These ability is easily abused with mana dorks/rocks and card draw outlet. The only problem with Paradox Engine is that it needs card draw more than Jeskai Ascendancy. I like to tutor Selvala, Explorer Returned for her draw ability and mana production.

This decks to ramp quickly, establish infinite mana, and use one of the following to win the game:

Walking Ballista: These is my preferred way to win. After gaining infinite mana, put a large amount of counters on Ballista and shoot everyone and everything for the win.

Early Game

The first phase of the game, mana dorks are needed and I want to get Kydele onto the field as fast as possible. I want to be in my mid-game phase before the rest of the players.

Mid Game

My mid-game plan is to establish infinite mana. At this point, I want Kydele on the battlefield and I need her to tap for more than . Draw spells, such as Thirst for Knowledge, enable this by itself (Three cards off of Thirst and 1 from drawing for turn). I also want to utilize one of the many combos, listed below, to draw large amounts of cards and make tons of mana. Remember; certain colors are more important than others. This is the order: , , , and . This deck thrives on tapping all of the dorks for certain colors and floating the mana. This is the hardest part about playing the deck.

Late Game

After establishing infinite mana, i want to close out the game by safely playing on of my win-cons. Staff of Domination shines here because it converts infinite mana into infinite card draw. If the field isn’t clear to storm off, I use Bruse Tarl, Boorish Herder + Kozilek, Butcher of Truth/Ulamog, the Ceaseless Hunger to win via annihilation triggers and exile their decks.

This deck has a multiple moving pieces required for it to work. It wants ramp first, infinite mana enablers second, then win cons. If this order isn’t followed, the deck fizzles. Also, the deck is very dependant on Kydele, Chosen of Kruphix, Jeskai Ascendancy, Paradox Engine, and Staff of Domination. These are the cards I cannot lose or I lose. It is important to know when there is an opening to combo off and when to simply hold back these valuable cards.

Mana Combos

Jeskai Ascendancy/Paradox Engine + Mana Dorks/Mana Rocks: This is the primary engine for this deck. It is important to tap all of the mana enablers and float the mana. Generally, whatever you are playing isn’t going to drain of the mana reserved. Play the card, untap dorks/rocks, then rinse and repeat.

Card Draw Combos

Staff of Domination + Infinite Mana: Tap Staff for to draw a card, then untap Staff for . Rinse and repeat until you find any win cons and protection.

Isochron Scepter: I want to pair this up with Dramatic Reversal and mana dors/rocks for infinite mana and untaps. I will also pair this up with a counter spell if I can’t find Dramatic Reversal in a timely fashion.
Staff of Domination: If Kydele is the engine, than Staff of Domination is the piston. Staff converts infinite mana into card draw, untaps, and life gain. Staff bridges the gap from going infinite to winning the game.
Umbral Mantle: For , untap a creature. This goes infinite if Kydele or Bloom Tender taps for or more.

Dig Through Time: Technically, Dig Through Time doesn’t draw any cards. However, Dig looks at the top seven cards of your library and puts two of them into your hand and the rest on the bottom of your library in any order. With delve, Dig can be played for .
Jhoira, Weatherlight Captain: Jhoira draws a card for every legendary or artifact card I play. Eventhough she contends with the four drop slot, the add card draw helps the deck tremendously.
Firebrand Archer: Firebrand ping opponents for one damage each time a non-creature spell is cast. This is just another avenue to close out the game after going infinite.
Opt: Scry 1 then draw one for is a great cantrip.
Ponder and Manamorphose : These cards draw for one. Ponder is great if you need to reshuffle the deck while Manamorphose filters mana.
Memory Jar: This draws seven cards and is an artifact. Memory Jar plays well with Kydele.
Mystic Remora: Mystic Remora draws alot of cards, seeing how no one plays the . Dropping this card early pushes the advantage very hard.
Windfall: This deck wants to empty its hand as fast as possible and Windfall is the perfect follow-up.

Pyroblast: A classic anti-Blue card. Functions as a counter and removal.

Chord of Calling: One of the stables of this deck. X to tutor for any creature I need at instant speed.
Enlightened Tutor: There are plenty of the artifacts and enchantments pieces I’d like to see every game. This card lets me fetch them.
Kozilek, Butcher of Truth: Kozilek is primarily here to be discarded or played to draw four cards. I can swing with him, but I rarely do.
Magus of the Candelabra: Magus is here to convert the critical amount of that Kydele produces into colored mana via lands.
Memory's Journey: Shuffling three cards back into the deck from the graveyard provides more combo potential and some graveyard protection.
Regrowth: Grab something from the graveyard and put it back into the hand is an effect that this storm deck needs.
Thousand-Year Elixir: Psuedo-haste for creatures with tap abilities (which is basically all of my creatures). Elixer can also untap a creature for one, which is useful for Kydele or any other mana dork that produces large amounts of mana.
Time Spiral: Time Spiral does plenty of heavy lifting. First, it refills the hand with seven cards, untaps six lands, and puts hand/graveyard into the deck. This is great card to play after emptying the hand.
Vizier of Tumbling Sands: Vizer untaps another permanent, which is powerful with the many untap effects this deck is utilizing. Vizer makes the cut because of her ability to cycle, which draws a card and untaps a permanent.
Wargate: Tutors for any permanent and puts it into play. Most of the time, I grab one of the win cons or important cards.
