Arcbound Crusher

Artifact Creature — Juggernaut

Trample

Whenever another artifact enters the battlefield, put a +1/+1 counter on Arcbound Crusher.

Modular 1 (This enters the battlefield with a +1/+1 counter on it. When it's put into a graveyard, you may put its +1/+1 counters on target artifact creature.)

Some thoughts:

  • your land count is very low, especially when you’re running 3 copies of a legendary land. For reference, the meta hardened scales runs around 24 lands and has an average mana-cost of only 1.5 (treating cards like Walking Ballista as worth ). You’ve only got 19 lands and your average mana-cost is a much higher 1.9 (assuming Thought Monitor and Thoughtcast only ever cost ).

  • Shadowspear is generally only ever good because it can be grabbed with Urza's Saga - without Saga it’s much harder to justify.

  • 4 mana is very steep, especially considering your land count, and I don’t see either Arcbound Crusher or Vannifar, Evolved Enigma doing nearly-enough to justify their cost.

  • Fabricate feels very slow/clunky when Ancient Stirrings exists.

This looks really fun!

As far as cuts: I would honestly drop a lot of the control pieces. Magus of the Moon / Blood Moon hurt you just as much as your opponents due to having only 2 basic Forests.

Glacial Chasm doesn't particularly make sense in a deck where combat is a wincon. If you needed to stave off combat, I think board wipes would probably be more effective (Chain Reaction for instance).

Clown Car can get cut since it doesn't do a ton here. Ditto for Avarice Totem and Glaring Spotlight.

Temur Sabertooth is kind of mediocre unless you have really strong ETB effects and want the indestructible. Arcbound Crusher is also much worse than it looks - I ran it back in the day when I played kitchen table magic and it didn't particularly hold its own even there.

Hope those help you with cuts, GL HF!

Hey, good version so far and nice Transmute Artifact. It's crazy only three cards here make up $1700+ of the $2k deck price.

Your deck doesn't have a Commander. In the deck editor where you see text list of the cards add CMDR to the end of Optimus?

Optimus Prime, Hero *CMDR*

When you save and return to your deck Optimus will be the Commander with it's own category and card image.

Definitely find room for Zabaz, the Glimmerwasp since it does a lot for a 1 drop. Zabaz + Optimus Prime, Autobot Leader  Flip is honestly all you really need since the little bug does it all. Modular and being a repeatable sac outlet for Optimus Prime, Hero  Flip is excellent. It can sac itself to then put all it's counters on Optimus Prime, Autobot Leader  Flip for a huge attack of lethal Commander damage to an opponent. It being a sac outlet for Optimus Prime, Hero  Flip is what makes it powerful.

Animation Module can be part of a combo for infinite counters on all creatures you control and infinite Servos with Ashnod's Altar + Cathars' Crusade. The only problem with this combo is Crusade is an enchantment, not an artifact. Without having tutors to get Crusade it could be difficult to assemble. If you add Crusade then enchantment tutors would help.

Some cards here to consider cutting for these:

Because of bolster and other counter sources then the small +1/+1 anthem effect is not really needed from Chief of the Foundry or Master of Etherium. You have three better creatures here who protect artifacts, Bronze Guardian is not needed. Arcbound Crusher could simply be cut for a better modular creature? Towashi Guide-Bot at 4 mana is too much for what you get. Yes, it could be repeatable draw, but you have to tap it to draw only once. It is good with Unwinding Clock, but without Clock it's subpar.

Before I make other card suggestions, what is your budget for making upgrades? You have some of the most expensive price cards in Magic here, but you also have some of the worst budget lands thus I don't know what to think. Some areas to consider expanding on are ramp and sac outlets? Ramp to make it easier to cast Optimus and sac outlets to abuse Optimus Prime, Hero  Flip convert. 9 sources of ramp is low when Optimus is 5 or 6 mana.

Optimus Prime, Hero  Flip has to die to convert, having some sources to sac him can be helpful and also give lots of value. Sac outlets let you repeatedly use both sides of Optimus and they help to get around having to cast 6 mana Optimus Prime, Hero  Flip. Instead, More Than Meets the Eye for Optimus Prime, Autobot Leader  Flip which can be even less than 5 mana with any effect that reduces artifact casting cost.

To get around summoning sickness you want to be able to sac Optimus Prime, Hero  Flip on an opponent's turn. If you sac Optimus Prime, Hero  Flip on your turn then when it returns to the battlefield it has summoning sickness, can't attack without haste. This isn't as bad if you have another creature to attack + bolster because Optimus Prime, Autobot Leader  Flip itself doesn't have to attack to convert, but still you want to be attacking with trampling Optimus Prime, Autobot Leader  Flip doing Commander damage.

If you're interested I offer more advice when I get a better idea what your budget is for upgrades. Would you like more advice?

Good luck with your deck.

I have a few ideas for you! Mostly ones I stole from Mardu Treasures by Local_Hethen. It's a cool deck. (:

Hello friend! I have some suggestions! I had way too much time today, so here you go.

Relatively cheap, potent, and just perfect upgrades.

This bit is, of course, focused on making as many treasures as your board can bear.

Great, now you have all of these treasures, now what are you going to do with them?

  • Frogmite, Lens Flare, Scale of Chiss-Goria, Tooth of Chiss-Goria, Mycosynth Golem, Slag Strider, Furnace Dragon, and Myr Enforcer are all notable cards you could add, since they pretty much become free after a while, though mostly pretty useless.

  • Forsworn Paladin is pretty good token generation early game, but really shines with the second ability where it can instantly punish anyone blocking or attacking you recklessly.

  • Marionette Master is going to pack a punch.

  • Dargo, the Shipwrecker is super cheap for a 7/5 with trample.

  • Enraged Giant, Freejam Regent, Battle at the Bridge, Saheeli's Directive, Herald of Anguish, and Organic Extinction are all pretty solid additions, since they don’t make you sacrifice anything in exchange for it.

  • Ruthless Technomancer has a million combos with (like Dockside Extortionist+sac outlet) and is just pretty good on its own.

  • Leonin Elder is just one life, but when you’re playing a treasure deck, that one life will definitely add up.

  • Underhanded Designs is a murder or a poke engine, which is very snazzy.

  • Glaze Fiend is pretty scary, considering that it has trample.

  • Dragonspark Reactor could be a bit of removal in your back pocket or your wincon.

  • Arcbound Crusher’s design team didn’t anticipate just how many artifacts I was planning on throwing onto the field.

  • Professional Face-Breaker is just like Grim Hireling, in that it makes treasure tokens, but more importantly, it gives you something else. You get a load of impulse draw, which is really nice when you have loads of mana.

  • Magda, Brazen Outlaw is just an artifact tutor, really. Though, there are plenty of treasure loving dragons you could also fish for. (:

  • Kalain, Reclusive Painter loves treasures, giving everyone big buffs.

  • Swashbuckler Extraordinaire can give anything that might be sensitive to dying double strike for a big final push. That, or just give one big boy double strike.

  • Their Number is Legion gets you lots of life and lots of tokens.

  • Necron Overlord is just a worse Ghirapur, but it’s still gonna hurt.

  • Street Urchin is the same idea as the above.

  • Armix, Filigree Thrasher could be some annoying removal, especially early game.

  • Hellkite Igniter is a big boy that, if left unblocked, could be a one hit kill.

  • Feedback Bolt is a big, powerful spell. To put it simply: ouch.

  • Fain, the Broker can make treasures, can make +1/+1’s, and can make little spooky boys. The best type of boys. Great utility and variety overall.

  • Rain of Riches is big. One cascading spell a turn, whichever one you want? Imagine dropping Feedback Bolt and cascading into Hellkite Igniter.

  • Captain Lannery Storm is innocent… Until you leave her unblocked like a dummy.

  • Concussive Bolt can be an easy kill, letting you get as much damage as you want through.

  • Dispense Justice is just like saying “Fuck your voltron.”

  • It seems you also like having and sacrificing constructs, so here’s a bit to let you do more of that, if you’d prefer to have a construct deck over a treasure token deck.

    • Shared Animosity will give constructs a boost, but there really isn’t a specific theme across creature types aside from that, and your constructs are better used for chump blocking or just turning them into scrap. Ignore this if you’re going for more of a construct tribal sort of thing.

    • Fable of the Mirror-Breaker  Flip is a good card, don’t get me wrong, but I don’t think it’s really necessary.

    • Rakdos Charm could be replaced with something better as far as artifact removal or graveyard hate. Nihil Spellbomb would be good graveyard hate and Generous Gift is just a good white staple.

    • Comet Storm is fun, but Crackle with Power is more fun.

Ooh, very interesting! I haven't played around with modular yet but I like the list you have here.

A few cards I might (might) consider-

Very nice engine you've got here, especially for the price!

Nothing stands out much beyond what has already been said, I built a fairly similar deck. Only two cards I might suggest are Scourglass and Starnheim Courser but neither are necessary just something to think about. Keep in mind Scourglass acts like a Nevinyrral's Disk and will put a target on your back until you crack it and it doesn't help that it has a timing restriction.

For fun you can always throw in a Phyrexian Triniform or Triplicate Titan. You would get more value out of them with cards like Grinding Station and Blasting Station. But they can pair with Cathars' Crusade which if they die you get a net of three 6/6 creatures. You could also pair them with Arcbound Crusher + Animation Module.

the idea beneath this deck is amazing! i would like to suggest some things... -urza's saga is a MUST to be included; if you use saga you could cut 1 Zabaz -arcbound worker is amazing as the 1-drop -in order to increase as much as possible your Arcbound Crusher you should add 1-2 Genesis Chamber, in this way you can really maximize your Fling - as other suggested Shrapnel Blast could be a good finisher/removal but i guess you could bring in Galvanic Blast -Spire of Industry could help fix your mana, as well as Glimmervoid -if you have modular trigger you need Arcbound Ravager

that's my point of view!! anyway super funny deck!!
