Marchesa, the Black Rose works her soldiers to death - again, and again, and again... After all, death is no excuse to stop working.

The concept for the deck is simple: combine Marchesa, the Black Rose with creatures that enter the battlefield with +1/+1 counters, things that add +1/+1 counters to creatures, creatures with enters the battlefield effects, and spells and abilities which cost sacrificing creatures for powerful effects. A few reanimation effects were included to help keep creatures coming back.

It's tough to list all the available combos, but some of the key combos are:

• Marchesa, the Black Rose and Opal Palace or Sage of Fables - what's better than a commander starting off near indestructible?
• Triskelion and Mephidross Vampire - a classic combo for infinite, instant-speed damage to creatures.
• Miren, the Moaning Well and Ignition Team - while not a directly synergistic combo, in large games, this combo generates copious life gain.
• Marchesa, the Black Rose combos nicely with Mikaeus, the Unhallowed (or at least she will, when he arrives).
