Ayara, First of Locthwain
: Great aristocrat card, a possible switch with
Syr Konrad, the Grim
as a commander, part of infinite combos and also source of
devotion to black to
Gray Merchant of Asphodel
.
Bog Witch
- Bog Witch works as several things here - discard outlet for our big creatures; discarding a creature triggers our Syr Konrad's ability; and works as a Dark Ritual on creature, which gives us
to reanimate our discarded big creatures with
Victimize
/
Reanimate
, etc.
Cavalier of Night
: Really awesome card in black. Provides almost anything we need - lifelink, sacrifice activator, creature removal and reanimator for creatures with converted mana cost
or less.
Doom Whisperer
: Only for
, this card is powerhouse. Flying and Trample is nice on its own, but with "Pay 2 life: Surveil 2" at insant speed, we can filter our deck, manipulate the top card of our library and fill our graveyard very easily. Oh, and also..
Vilis, Broker of Blood
says hello.
Dread Drone
: Smaller version of
Grave Titan
, but Dread Drone and its tokens die instantly to
Skullclamp
and the tokens can help us to get some extra mana if needed.
Dream Devourer
: Small demon that can enables us to exile any of our combo cards or big creatures for
and cast it later on for
generic mana less. By doing this, Dream Devourer 'protects' our cards from wheels, discards and any other kind of hand-hate. Even when Dream Devourer leaves the battlefield, exiled cards by D.D. still have
foretell.
Emrakul, the Promised End
: Eldrazi theme. Just as most Eldrazi, especially Eldrazi titans, Emrakul is great reanimator target and with our ability to fill our graveyard and our possible ramp, it should be hard to hard-cast her to mind-control an opponent.
Endrek Sahr, Master Breeder
: Endrek is here to make as many tokens to sacrifice as possible. Sacrificing Endrek due to having 7 or more Thrull tokens shouldn't be a problem, since we can always either reanimate him or put back on top of our library/into our hand.
Ghoulcaller Gisa
: Amazing general in token decks and a really cheap and easy way to generate big amount of tokens, which we have plenty of ways to use.
Gray Merchant of Asphodel
: Iconic card in many mono-black decks. Possibly huge mass lifegain and is also part of our infinite combo.
Grave Titan
: Grave Titan is a big body that makes us two 2/2 Zombie tokens with his
ETB ability, so it makes him really good reanimator target. Its also decent to equip Grave Titan with
Lightning Greaves
to make another two tokens in the same turn. Equipping tokens with
Skullclamp
won't kill them, but we have some of ours sacrifice effects, it shouldn't bother us that much. Grave Titan's deathtouch is just a bonus, but might be useful too.
It That Betrays
: Eldrazi theme. Powerhouse card on its own. Either beat your opponents with big body or make them sacrifice cards to take control over them (to either beat your opponents with their own cards or just as sacrifice fuel).
Kozilek, Butcher of Truth
: Eldrazi theme. Again, reanimator target for instant speed reanimators with huge body and annihilator 4, which can just put an opponent few turns back and even end the game on its own. Can also be used as discard/mill way to get our graveyard back if needed.
Lord of the Void
: Decent 7/7 body for
is pretty fair. LotV doesn't do anything right away and can be easily blocked by anything with flying/reach, which will cancel his ability, but it's a decent creature to reanimate early; imprint target for
Mimic Vat
or equip LotV with
Lightning Greaves
. LotV's efficiency can vary a lot, depending on what creature it can give us from among those seven exiled cards, but even if LotV hits some bad creature (really depending on oppnent's deck), it can easily exile some important or strong cards.
Massacre Wurm
: Great way to decimate your opponent's tokens and low toughness creatures or simply delay board wipes. Combos well with
Sudden Spoiling
.
Nether Traitor
: Great and cheap creature thats ideal as a sacrifice target, since it can easily bring itself back to the battlefield whenever any other of our creatures die. Pairs well with
Ayara, First of Locthwain
,
Pawn of Ulamog
,
Desecrated Tomb
and
Skullclamp
.
Pathrazer of Ulamog
: Eldrazi. Another good reanimator target with massive body and annihilator 3. Enough said.
Pawn of Ulamog
: Small dude providing us with tokens as sacrifice fuel.
Priest of Forgotten Gods
: Another great way to use our generated tokens to make ANY player lose life and sacrifice a creature to give us
and a card draw. Priest's ability can even target us, to sacrifice an additional creature (to get extra value from something like
Grave Pact
) and lose our 2 life to draw additional two cards with
Vilis, Broker of Blood
. Her only downside, aside of tap requirement is that she can't sacrifice herself, just like
Whisper, Blood Liturgist
can.
Ulamog, the Ceaseless Hunger
: Eldrazi theme. Removal, another huge reanimator target with Indestructible, which can decimate our opponent's deck whenever it attacks.
Vilis, Broker of Blood
: Vilis doesn't really fit that well, but he's pretty strong on his own, providing us with big card draw and removing small creatures with his ability. Also, 8/8 flying.
Void Winnower
: Eldrazi theme. Probably one of the most annoying Eldrazi creatures out there, with big body as reanimator target which also provides protection against even spells (0, 2, 4, 6..). Also has totally badass art.
Whisper, Blood Liturgist
: Another reanimator on a creature, together with a sacrifice outlet. Whisper can sacrifice herself together with another creature to reanimate our big creature, which we easily discarded. Whisper can also be part of our infinite combo.
