Whenever a creature is put into your graveyard from play, put that card on top of your library.

I’m looking for more combos or lockdown effects to limit my opponents moves

resplendentobscurity sure thing! Yeah your deck is a really excellent example of using Grenzo's ability in a control-style deck. I haven't really built an aggro EDH deck before or a deck that even wants to attack much so I decided to use this as an opportunity to do that but also include my uniquely created Mortuary combo too.
I'm glad you like the Thrumming Stone interaction and that I was able to share it with you! I hope you can get one in there. You make a good point about the rats, except that just seems really boring to me to put a ton of rats out all at once. I'd rather play more interesting creatures so I think 10 rats is as many as I can stomach.
In testing so far the enchantments have been great. Yes, ideally all my cards would be creatures but so many of the enchantments are so uniquely good in here. Magus of the Will, as you identified, is perfect for getting all the stuff back that you dump in the yard. I don't want to ever exile him though, ergo the Kiki-Jiki, Flameshadow Conjuring , and Feldon to copy Magus of the Will whenever I need to. Just important to remember not to use Grenzo after Magus or you'll just exile the cards.
Desecrated Tomb is fantastic just for the extra body, but it's great fuel for Ashnod's Altar especially to keep giving gas to Grenzo! I have had some mana problems in my playtesting so far so I'll probably adjust the list to put some more colorless mana rocks in.
Suns_Champion thank you so much! I always appreciate your feedback and taking a look at my stuff. I love the flavor on Rix Maadi, that's so great, but the card seems too weak over all and Sire of Insanity just gets it done all at once. I would put it in if I could fit more colorless lands but I've been so colorscrewed already in playtesting that I don't think I want to risk running more of them. :(

I came up with a versatile combo a long time ago, where you need any sac outlet like Yahenni, Undying Partisan , any draw Engine that triggers on creatures dying like Harvester of Souls , Deathrender , Mortuary , and a creature with a cool etb ability like Gray Merchant of Asphodel .
Heres how it works. Have in play all the cards, equip Gray Merchant of Asphodel to the Deathrender , then sac him to Yahenni, Undying Partisan , that triggers 3 things at the bottom of the stack is the Deathrender trigger, that puts a creature from your hand into play attached to Deathrender . That resolves last. In the middle of the stack is the Harvester of Souls trigger that draws you a card. And on the top of the stack is the Mortuary trigger, putting Gray Merchant of Asphodel back into your hand.
The triggers resolve in that order creating a loop. Gray Merchant of Asphodel dies goes to the top of the library you draw a card then put Gray Merchant of Asphodel into play attached to Deathrender for infinite life drain and gain.

I have 5 more cards to cut atm to make it legal. I decided I did like Haunted Crossroads over Mortuary since I have way more control that way. Without any setup any creature in my graveyard is now on top of my library for 1 mana instead of needing a sac outlet and the correct creature on the board in order to make it work. I will also be including Volrath's Stronghold as a land way to do it and I already had Academy Ruins in the list with this in mind for artifacts.

Coward_Token: About trying to make endless combat phases with Combat Celebrant and/or Scourge of the Throne using Vaevictis Asmadi, the Dire, Mortuary wont put them on top of the library until after Vaevictis's ability fully resolves, and Haunted Crossroads can't put them there while Vaevictis ability resolves. To get around that there's two things you can do:
- Alternate between them because if both attack and add another combat phase, no creature will untap for the second one. This ends when you can no longer trigger Scourge of the Throne because you have the most life.
- Sacrifice one of them with a free sacrifice outlet in response to Vaevictis Asmadi, the Dire's ability after resolving the extra combat phase trigger and bring them to the top of the library before his triggered ability starts resolving. You will have to sacrifice something else to Vaevictis, but it wont matter if it's a creature token. Combat Celebrant can do this endlessly but Scourge of the Throne ends when you have the most life.
Second alternative is the truly endless one (until your opponents lose the game, as long as they can lose the game that is), but it means you have to supplement your deck with a free sacrifice outlet that doesn't disrupt the combo. That is usually not a bad thing to have, so I'm considering it.
Tentacprf: Great catch! I'd really like to avoid that and it's very possible that it can happen in my meta, so thank you for pointing it out!

Coward_Token: Hey, thanks for throwing in some ideas. I'll probably avoid putting sorceries and instants in the deck since they're nonbos with the commander, except for Primal Surge as a finisher. With it I can get Combat Celebrant/Scourge of the Throne/Breath of Fury + Mortuary + permanent haste source (there's tons of them!) and probably finish from there with huge hasty beaters and endless attack phases.
Why Godo, Bandit Warlord? It only untaps samurais! Could fetch vigilance equipment though.
Not sure about Lantern of Insight and Extractor Demon, they need to be out together to really work. I like Aetherworks Marvel, definitely works well with the rest. Will get Scroll Rack if I can afford it, at least I already have most of the more expensive cards listed or am able to get them for cheap.
No data for this card yet.
