(This deck is still being tested. I mererly noted down some thoughts on how I plan to make the deck work)

I tried to upgrade Draconic Domination using relatively budget alternatives. That mostly meant not inclusing expensive fetches and shock lands (or even dual lands) and focusing more on making the manabase more flexible in other ways.

The upgrade in total cost me around 50 bucks (might be more or less, depending on where you decide to get your cards from.

A super simple and cheap upgrade is just including simple basic fetches like Evolving Wilds and Terramorphic Expanse. I was honestly shocked to see that these weren't included in the pre-con. (Feline Ferocity only has 2 colors and features both...)

In terms of ramp, the pre-con at least comes with both Cultivate and Kodama's Reach. If you're not running any fetches or non-basics with Basic landtypes, you might as well switch out Farseek for Rampant Growth. I also put in Expedition Map just so I can fetch one of my non-basics in case I need one.

Commander 2016 featured some pretty cool lands like Exotic Orchard and Forbidden Orchard that can produce multiple types of mana. These are stilly fairly cheap, especially Exotic Orchard.

Ixalan also brought in a very helpful land, Unclaimed Territory.

Depending on your budget, consider getting City of Brass or even Mana Confluence. If these aren't an option, you could go with the cheaper but slower alternatives Grand Coliseum or Rupture Spire / Transguild Promenade

I believe an absolute must for this deck is Chromatic Lantern. It is sadly a bit more expensive that the other upgrades but it is very worth it. Vizier of the Menagerie is a cheaper and also very useful alternative. I packed in both for the added utility.

If you really cannot afford any of these, then at least go for a Joiner Adept. While less useful and more vunerable, she might be able to help you in the early game.

Trophy Mage is pretty helpful, since most artefacts in this deck are 3 mana or less. You can pretty much get any mana rock (preferably Chromatic lantern), Urza's Incubator (in case you decide to run it) or even Fist of Suns

The deck in general lacks speed, and giving your creatures haste is pretty important. If you can afford him, go get Karrthus, Tyrant of Jund. Since I wanted to keep things cheap though, I got myself Temur Ascendancy, which is actually a very useful alternative, since it can also help out with card draw.

Those are in my opinion the must have upgrades to make the deck work better on a very basic level. It is possible to do very simple, budget upgrade to the deck and make it work a lot better than before. If you have any more suggestions, feel free to leave them here.
