Maybeboard

Build up your board and hand. Control theirs. You can't win this alone, but thankfully you have allies: some imaginary, some with the ability to shift between worlds. Crush your opponent with the power of friendship.

Fun fact: Pir, Imaginative Rascal + Homarid is the perfect anti-synergy.

Jace, Vryn's Prodigy   - Yes, it draws me extra cards. That's about the only relevant effect of either side of this card for this deck. It doesn't want to mill (please ignore the (0) of Jace, Memory Adept) and the only spells it would cast from my graveyard are for ramp or counters on my turn.

Thran Temporal Gateway - For the amount of mana that has to be spent to get this online, it'd be better to just have the mana to cast any of these planeswalkers and have a counter spell available to protect it.

Fuel for the Cause - Proliferate on a counterspell is interesting enough and has great synergy, but it is a bit of a win-more con if I have a board state, and useless over something that scrys or draws as a secondary effect if not.

Orochi Hatchery - This is really good for a meta that likes to go wide. The most this can provide for this deck is an effective engine for chump blockers though.

Mind Unbound - Do I want a draw con that costs that much and isn't a planeswalker? This is also scary without a Laboratory Maniac since the effect is not optional.

Grimoire of the Dead - This is a card that is PROBABLY good, but has a chance to not be. I don't kill creatures myself minus 1 board wipe, so I can't realistically fuel the potential of this card.

Primal Amulet   - The pace of this card is a bit slow and takes up the same turns that are crucial to have an early counterspell. It'd be interesting to have double counter spells as a mid to late game helper, but idk if it's worth the slot in the deck.

Eternity Vessel - Spending six mana on this good of an effect seems nice, but I'm still vulnerable to things like commander damage/planeswalker damage, whereas Spike Weaver can address those things.

Tezzeret, Artifice Master - M19 released some interesting cards for the EDH community, both in terms of cost and quality. This will have a really good slot in this deck.

Nissa, Voice of Zendikar - This is another planeswalker that could be used to beef up my board with some blockers and have some resistance against aggro-archetype decks. It can also beef up Pir if I think that it's necessary (tfw you have to cry when somebody casts Earthquake for 1). I have yet to explore if this option is worth it yet, but this is potentially a strong pick for the deck. EDIT: This is a stronger consideration with Simic Ascendancy in the deck.

Teferi, Mage of Zhalfir - My stuff cant be countered? I can have mana for counter spells and cast a creature if I didn't need to counter things? Sounds amazing to me. I just have to find what slot it should take.

Krosan Grip - Uncounterable removal is always great: even more so in a format where artifacts/enchantments win games.

Archmage Ascension - An amazing card. I have to see if extra draws happen consistently enough to justify the card, even if the tutor-per-draw is an anti-synergy for my poor Toothy (thankfully it's a may!).

Insidious Will - It's a more flexible counter spell. It would be nice to find a slot for this.

Helix Pinnacle - This should probably be in the deck. It's a great passive mana sink if I don't use/have counter spells that turn.

Walk the Aeons, Temporal Manipulation, Savor the Moment - Turns are a really powerful mechanic in this deck, since planeswalkers don't require mana to activate their abilities and by default do them only once per turn.

Burgeoning, Exploration - Accelerating lands early is huge. Free lands later is still huge.
