Alesha, Who Smiles at Death is one of my favourite MTG characters. She's the first transgender character in Magic. She's the first trans woman in mainstream fiction who also happens to be a warrior- which is weird how there aren't more considering how many have existed in real life and in history- And she kills a dragon to earn the right to change her name and gain the respect of her people. She's kind of a badass.
The moment I read about her I knew I needed to make a deck around her.
Alesha, Who Smiles at Death operates in this deck as a graveyard toolbox. She has answers for most any situation. Being able to recur something out of your graveyard once a turn Is a powerful ability when used right.
