Maybeboard

Esper version of my group slug deck, focused around Tevesh Svat's abilities. Ishai as partner is really only for blue and white. If another azorius partner commander with more interesting abilities is printed in the future, then Ishai will most likely get swapped out.

Infinite extra turn combo: Archaeomancer + (Tevesh +1) + recursion (Sheoldred or Coffin Queen or Havengul Lich or Volrath's Stronghold or Riptide Laboratory).

(Outdated combo removed) You can tutor into this combo like so: 1) Demonic tutor gets Archaeomancer 2) Archaeomancer gets Demonic Tutor from graveyard 3) Demonic Tutor gets Sheoldred/Coffin Queen/Havengul Lich 4) Sacrifice and reanimate Archaeomancer to get Demonic Tutor 5) Demonic tutor for Temporal Manipulation

The theme of this deck is "each opponent" or "each other player" or "whenever an opponent does X", then the opponent sacrifices a creature/discards a card/something else negative, so all effects in the deck are designed to only negatively impact my opponents. Ideally you could join a 99 person EDH game and still be ok since each card effects all opponents. By keeping your opponent's creatures off the field, there will be nothing to attack Tevesh and he can ultimate in peace. Then, finish each opponent off with their own commander for additional effect.

The criteria for a card to make it into this deck is very strict. 1) The card must either abuse planeswalkers (extra turns, Deepglow Skate, Oath of Teferi for example), mana ramp (mana rock where mana cost to mana output is near competitive level), or negatively impact opponents.

2) For cards that negatively impact opponents, it must affect ALL opponents without affecting you.

3) For cards that negatively impact opponents, the effect must be immediate or very powerful if it survives a turn cycle. A counterexample: In my Tevesh + Bruse Tarl version, Charmbreaker Devils turned out to never live a full turn cycle. Debtor's Knell is an exception since it is very powerful.

4) For cards that trigger whenever an opponent does something, it must be some action that no magic player can avoid, and the resulting effect must negatively impact ALL opponents. For example, every magic player must cast spells (for the most part, as there are only a few ways to avoid casting), so Painful Quandary is good. Every magic player will have a draw step (for the most part, unless there is a card on the battlefield that skips your draw step) where they will draw 1 card, so Smothering Tithe is good. Counterexample 1: Hullbreacher is a good card, but opponents can avoid triggering this. Same goes for Opposition Agent.

5) An exception can be made for cards that don't negatively impact opponents but bring me great benefit (Consecrated Sphinx or Smothering Tithe).
