I haven't played or played against this commander but I think it has a identity crisis from the get go but I cannot quite explain why.

Excise the Imperfect is a flavor win however... I think I'd rather play almostany other removal like Oblation

Elesh Norn  Flip little expensive but the saga side is the type of effect that ends games its even better for your deck that incubates alot

Norn's Choirmaster potential for many proliferate triggers. But expensive effect. Worth considering for the t4 commander t5 this curve out.

Lich-Knights' Conquest Mass reanimation that can sac incubation tokens.

Haunted One tribal buff w/undying when your commander attacks

Invasion of New Capenna  Flip okay Removal that flips to a buffing tribal equipment

I looked at bargain cards to find something awesome as you can sac tokens/artifacts. But I didn't one that seemed to be worthwhile. That may be worth looking at.

Happy brewing

Crow_Umbra on Alesha, Who Blinks at Death EDH

Solid updates! Olá da Califórnia! Eu gostaria de estar no Carnaval em vez de estar trabalhando na próxima semana haha.

My last couple suggestions for this deck:

  • If you're looking for a board wipe alternative to Dusk / Dawn, I'd recommend Slaughter the Strong or Retribution of the Meek. Dusk is kinda awkward since it still kills Alesha, & Dawn is also kinda clunky because it returns all your stuff to hand, except Alesha.

  • If you need a mass reanimation spell, I'd recommend Living Death since it can also double as a board wipe, or Lich-Knights' Conquest which is kinda like a more surgical, but narrow Living Death. Lich-Knight's Conquest might be a bit harder to pull off in this deck, since you run some but not a lot of creature token creation.

I'll take a look at your Judith deck a bit later & see if there are any suggestions I can think of. Other than that, your revisions here are looking good!

Crow_Umbra on Where in the world is Carmen

I saw your forum post, and figured I'd leave my suggestions here:

  • Scapegoat - Can help with board protection for stuff you wouldn't want to die (mostly Carmen).

  • Bartolome del Presidio - Kind of like another Carrion Feeder. Helpful to have another free sac outlet that can also grow into a threat.

  • Plumb the Forbidden - Maybe can replace Village Rites or Corrupted Conviction. Excellent draw, especially when used in response to board wipes. One of my favorite uses was using it in response to a Living Death lol.

  • Fanatical Devotion - Another free sac outlet that can help you protect key creatures.

  • Curse of the Restless Dead - Could be another means of getting creature tokens to sac, even if you enchant yourself with it. I think this or Fanatical Devotion could replace Monologue Tax, which felt very underwhelming each time I played it.

  • Loran of the Third Path - Another helpful ETB removal with some upside for political draw.

  • Chittering Witch - ETB token creator with a bit of removal

  • Bronzebeak Foragers - More ETB removal that can be repeated with Carmen. Kind of like a Grasp of Fate on a stick.

  • Luminous Broodmoth - Helps recur your sacrificed creatures and turns them into more effective attackers/blockers, assuming they didn't already have flying.

  • Vito, Fanatic of Aclazotz - A value engine that cares about you sacrificing permanents.

  • Lich-Knights' Conquest - Could be a means of doing a "surgical" version of Living Death, and get back some of your ETB removal like Fleshbag Marauder and crew.

I think you have a solid start so far in terms of trying to balance out sac fodder creation and sac enablers. Every meta is different, but I think with how prevalent Treasures and similar types of tokens are now, Carmen should get some incidental growth from other players, but will definitely require some testing in your local metas to determine that. I think having a decent amount of Free Sac Outlets to let you control your own sacrificing at instant speed should be helpful too, especially if some of those effects can help you protect Carmen, or at least replenish resources if she is removed.

Crow_Umbra on Burakos's Crew

I was quite happy with Lost Caverns of Ixalan. My Burakos and Isshin decks each got about 2-3 new cards, and some of my others got at least 1 new one. It's pretty easy to miss newer cards with how many new ones get cranked out each set lol.

Changeling Outcast is cool, but I think it gets a bit more mileage in Ninjutsu decks that care a bit more about connecting with unblocked attackers. Since Outcast can't block, the Vigilance from Tarrian's Soulcleaver is a little wasted lol, but it can get pretty big.

Lich-Knights' Conquest might be of interest as a potential team recursion spell that you can use your Treasures for.

Crow_Umbra on Isshin (Unfinished)

Brew discussions are one of my favorite aspects of MtG and EDH. I'll hop on Discord a couple times a month and talk with my best friend about our deck ideas. We end up chatting for a couple hours at a time as we deliberate on decisions lol.

I used to run Fervor until Rising of the Day dropped earlier this year.

  • Ogre Battledriver is also a great Haste and Power boost for your creatures that ETB.

  • A note with Elturel Survivors is that its +X buff is static, so that won't get doubled by Isshin. This is what allows the Myriad tokens to "see" the lands that your opponents control. So each Myriad copy will check for the number of lands its respective defending opponent controls.

  • If you do want a Menace anthem, Goblin War Drums is also an option for the same CMC as Pyreheart Wolf, but is a bit more removal resistant. Hard to pass up on those death touch anthems though.

  • If you like Adriana, Captain of the Guard, I'd recommend checking out Skyhunter Strike Force as a slighter CMC cheaper option, or as a redundant effect.

  • The tough thing with Lightning Runner is that it still has to attack over two turns to get the full 8 energy with Isshin on the board. Without him that gets stretched out to over 4 turns. I took a quick look at Cardkingdom, and the cheapest non-foil Aurelia is about $6.99.

  • The ETB group slug damage can get nasty once Isshin starts doubling up the token production on attacks, especially with Myrel. Some other budget effects are Corpse Knight and Witty Roastmaster. Purphoros, God of the Forge is still fairly out of budget, but a nice upgrade if you wanted to move that direction.

  • Hellrider, Commissar Severina Raine, and Brutal Hordechief are a nice suite of group slug damage that encourage you to swing with big boards. Commissar is also like a budget Skullclamp on a stick. Speaking of which, Skullclamp is a great draw piece for all your small token creatures, and should be under $10, depending on the printing.

  • I'm currently running 35 lands in my Isshin deck, along with the 3 Talismans, Sol Ring, Arcane Signet, Sword of the Animist, and some Treasure production in the form of Captain Lannery Storm, Professional Face-Breaker, and a handful of other Treasure producers.

As for the instants and sorceries, I tend not to suggest cuts as much there, since I think that's where more meta & playgroup specific tech decisions can be made. Generally speaking, I recommend cutting out single target sorcery speed removal, and saving those sorcery slots for board wipes & draw, Also try to make your instant speed removal be as target-versatile as possible to cut down on how many permanent-specific options you need to include. Here are a few thoughts I do have:

  • I'd suggest swapping Chaos Warp with Tibalt's Trickery. It's fun to catch people off guard with a red counter spell, and White & Black have a better go at removing the permanent types that Red typically can't. I think Chaos Warp is better if you're running a Red color combo that doesn't have access to Enchantment removal.

  • Terminate or Condemn can be cut or swapped with Soul Partition. Soul Partition is great since it can (temporarily) remove a troublesome nonland permanent, or save one of your own if needed. Sometimes the extra can throw off an oppoent's tempo if they really need to recast whatever you exiled, & sets them back a turn or two.

  • I think Vindicate can be replaced with Generous Gift and/or Stroke of Midnight. I think that making your suite of removal be as versatile as possible across a few cards can help you save multiple slots that are more specific/situational on what they can remove. The creature tokens created by Generous Gift & Stroke of Midnight are fairly low impact, & typically die in chump blocks or board wipes.

  • Mortify can probably replaced with Wear / Tear as an instant speed option that hits multiple targets.

  • If you want some instant speed draw, I'd recommend checking out Plumb the Forbidden. It's an excellent response to your opponents board wiping, and since you can create copies of it, the copies will dodge counter spells.

  • Fates' Reversal can probably be cut. Isshin doesn't really want single target recursion, and the Venture the Dungeon is better if you have other instances of Venturing to get its benefits. Lich-Knights' Conquest is a new option for mass recursion that you can throw some creature or treasure tokens into.

  • A little off track from the instants and sorceries, but I'd recommend swapping out Paladin Class and replacing it with Flowering of the White Tree. The Ward 1 can make your opponents look for easier targets to remove, & helps some of your more aggro Legends stick around.

I know you're trying to cut cards, but I'd recommend adding:

  • Plumb the Forbidden - Instant speed draw that feeds right into the Aristoc-Rats strat you're trying to pull off.

  • Wild Magic Surge - Another flexible "removal" option. Ditto as above.

  • Chaos Warp - Flexible "removal" option that can help you address problematic Enchantments.

  • Lich-Knights' Conquest - Kinda like Living Death, but gives you a bit more flexibility, and potentially avoids helping any other graveyard-based/reanimator strats that might be around the table. Seems like it could fit seamlessly with the Aristoc-Rats strat you want to do.

I'll have to take a closer look at what you could cut, but I think generally speaking, you could probably look for where you might have too much redundancy for certain effects, and which of those redundancies are the most low impact.
