Nath and the Winter Elves

The Snow-covered lands were originally in the deck for Sun Stone, but stayed in the deck even after the artifact was cut. They still have relevance with cards like Into the North. And it can't really be winter elves without snow, now can it?
Much of the deck is about value lands and ways to find them. Most obvious is the tried-and-true Dark Depths and Thespian's Stage-combo for a 20/20 Marit Lage. There's a plethora of ways to find the two lands, including Sylvan Scrying, Into the North, Expedition Map, Crop Rotation, Traverse the Ulvenwald (with Delirium) and Ulvenwald Hydra.

Along with the Marit Lage-combo, there are also other targets to search for. Gaea's Cradle can make a ton of mana in the deck with all the Elf tokens. Oran-Rief, the Vastwood makes the tokens a real threat. Strip Mine and Ghost Quarter are useful land destruction, and Bojuka Bog is graveyard removal. There's also Pendelhaven for utility, Dakmor Salvage to go with Worm Harvest, Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth for mana fixing and Westvale Abbey   ready to transform into a big demon.

Dredging Life from the Loam and returning lands can grind out opponents, and Worm Harvest works wery well with lands in the graveyard (and Dakmor Salvage in particular). Crucible of Worlds and Crucible on legs, Ramunap Excavator, keep the land engines going.

Nath of the Gilt-Leaf does like his discard. Good synergies with Nath include Anvil of Bogardan (one discard each draw step), Ill-Gotten Gains (mass discard), Contamination (Nath can generate tokens to sacrifice and keep people off non-black colors), Geier Reach Sanitarium (discard for everybody), Mind Slash /Sadistic Hypnotist (sacrificing a creature to make an opponent discard and creating a new token with Nath can clear out hands in a hurry) and Smallpox / Death Cloud for creature removal and discard. Raiders' Wake and any attacker on the turn Nath comes into play will generate at least some value.
There's also an elf deck here. Elves of Deep Shadow, Heart Warden, Fyndhorn Elves/Llanowar Elves, Deathrite Shaman and Priest of Titania are in the deck for ramp. Sometimes it's all about ramping up to or Natural Ordering to a big Craterhoof Behemoth.
