Marath, Counters and Tokens

Commander / EDH* Counters RGW (Naya) Tokens

Maybeboard

Marath, Will of the Wild is the commander. He gets you counters, tokens, spot removal. The deck will take advantage of green, utilizing some mana ramp and making large hydras which will grow exponentially using primal vigor and doubling season. The goal will be to give one of these creatures evasion--mostly trample--and overrun the enemy. A secondary win condition would be to create board advantage using tokens, which can also take advantage of the enchantments above.

Updates Add

After the release of Ixalan block, I realized that the enrage mechanic works very nicely with Marath. You can turn one of his +1/+1 counters into 5 direct damage, or exile-based removal, or card draw, or multiple tokens.

Other changes were made to better curve the deck out, including some ramp that had been in the deck and was removed, some more card draw, and removal of cards that just weren't working so well with the deck's synergy. There was too much expensive card draw for not enough value, not enough ramp for a green deck, and not enough answers for other decks, specifically enchantments.

The newly refined deck should be able to curve out better, answer threats, and synergize with Marath's ability much better.
