First draft of a budget-ish Jeleva storm deck running Marchesa, the Black Rose as commander for surprise value. The loss in redundancy afforded by Jeleva is worth pulling the wool over my friends' eyes exactly once.

Cards in the Maybeboard are either a) cards I don't currently own and can't currently afford, b) cards I'm legitimately unsure of, or c) both.

Noteworthy interactions:

• Helm of Obedience + Sensei's Divining Top + Future Sight: Draw my deck, generally into a Laboratory Maniac win
• Isochron Scepter + Dramatic Reversal + at least 3 mana in rocks: Infinite mana in any combination the rocks provide
• Doomsday: A stock pile would be something like Gitaxian Probe, Thought Scour, Laboratory Maniac, X, Unearth , but plenty of others exist; note that Sequestered Stash empties a pile for essentially 4C, allowing wins with Lab Man in hand along with some kind of cantrip/Sensei's Divining Top; while mana-intensive, it notably only requires U or UU in colored mana after Doomsday
• High Tide + Frantic Search/ Snap /Time Spiral: Better than free, try increasing returns!
• Dark Petition + Necropotence/Doomsday: It should be clear that Dark Petition exactly pays for either of these after you search them out
• Sequestered Stash: Beyond its applications to Doomsday, Sequestered Stash also allows a second chance at Lotus Petal, Mind Stone, and Tormod's Crypt in sufficiently desperate situations, as well as retrieving a destroyed Isochron Scepter for re-use
• Aetherflux Reservoir: Once in play, Aetherflux Reservoir's trigger only counts the number of spells cast on resolution; consequently, responding to each such trigger with an instant allows each spell cast to let me gain life equal to the total number of spells cast by me this turn

Current questions:

• Would Simian Spirit Guide be worth a 3-CMC slot (Ad Nauseam) for its ritual effect?
• Given the density of Wheel effects, would Notion Thief merit a slot?
• Are there any situations where entombing Past in Flames and/or Faithless Looting would justify Quiet Speculation ? If not, are there any other flashback spells that would nudge Quiet Speculation into contention?
• Would Rakdos Charm be a worthy inclusion (combat-heavy meta)? If so, would it slot in for Bojuka Bog, Tormod's Crypt, or something else altogether?
• Would Ravenous Trap ever be worth including, given it has a CMC of 4?
• Is Shrouded Lore even remotely justifiable, or is the presence of Past in Flames and Yawgmoth's Will enough?
• Is Demonic Consultation's interaction with Laboratory Maniac good enough for inclusion? Would I ever be desperate enough to use it for a 1-mana instant-speed to-hand tutor, or would it purely be a combo piece?
• How resilient am I to Jester's Cap and its ilk?
• Should I run Bubbling Muck? If so, is Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth important enough to also merit adding Expedition Map?
• Given I may never be able to justify buying Timetwister, Candelabra of Tawnos , Imperial Seal, Grim Tutor, and the ABUR duals, how can I best use their slots in their absence?
• If I do get a Candlestick, would Rebuild , Hurkyl's Recall, or Paradoxical Outcome merit greater consideration than now? What about Trinket Mage?
• Should I run Snuff Out and/or Vendetta as spot removal options?
• Thought Scour, Predict , or both?
• Elixir of Immortality as part of a Doomsday pile gets me an emergency do-over, as well as a way to dodge untimely attempts to kill Laboratory Maniac through protection--is that enough to run it?
