Little 75$ Talrand, Sky Summoner deck for local challenge. I made it as a 1 trick poney, a bit spellslinger! If people start to focus me a little too much, i will not get back into the game. I have almost no ramp and almost no ways to come back if i need to cast Talrand 3-4 times. So most of my counterspells are there to protect it. that's it. the plan is to cast Talrand. cantrip, cantrip, cantrip, cantrip... swing to win.

Most of the spells are either free to cast, 1-2 mana cantrips or efficient counterspells. If a card cost more than 2 it better have a good reason to be there, it probably draws a tons of cards(Archmage Emeritus Bident of Thassa effects). The only exception for this are Heraldic Banner(Anthem), Ojer Pakpatiq, Deepest Epoch  (Rebound) and Filter Out(board Control).

I had a huge preference for instant speed cantrips during my deckbuilding, but i still play some sorceries. I play a really low amount of non instant/sorcery spells because i want to keep going when i'm in "storm mode", Crashing Drawbridge is there to allow me to combo during my turn.

Outside of from the wierd counterspells, there is almost no control for the table except for Pongify, Rapid Hybridization, Snap, Snapback, Run Away Together, Gust of Wind

Familiar's Ruse is great way to save a Talrand. You can use it to bounce Talrand in your hand as an un-counterable bounce effect. (if you don't think you can beat the counter war.)

Teferi's Veil is a nice tech i found. It basically protect your board until next turn.

Cheap Cipher spell like Hidden Strings, Hands of Binding or Trait Doctoring are a good way to produce more trigger.

Arcane Denial is a nice draw spell. you can cast a spell and counter it to get 3 bonus card next turn. if your hand is clogged with bad counterspells, you can cantrip into bad counterspell, into Arcane Denial. casting 3 spells and drawing 4 cards in total and make a couple of drake in the process.
