Looks like a fun deck! My only thoughts are that you're going to often be in an awkward position where you're unable to hold up mana for your countermagic, because soo much of your stuff is sorcery speed (and you're land count is too low to be leaving-up excess mana). I'd suggest either ditching Counterspell and Spell Pierce, or play waay more of your cards as instant-speed versions (for example, Consider instead of Serum Visions, and Thought Scour or Fleeting Distraction instead of Slip Through Space).

I'm also very skeptical about Thing in the Ice  Flip - it's a nonbo with all your own creatures (especially the creature-tokens that you'll lose completely), and doesn't feel massively helpful in general. It might be better-off as just being more draw cards.

Out: Twisted Image

In: Luxurious Libation

  • Luxurious Libation is the first 1-mana targeted token maker, and it's an instant to boot. The cut for this one was hard, but Twisted Image got the axe because it has a chance of killing a number of creatures with Spawning Breath making 0/1s and Fleeting Distraction and Startle (and technically Dizzy Spell) reducing power, plus it has anti-synergy with power boosting effects like Fists of Flame. It's very possible the cut should have been Mythos of Illuna (as the most expensive token maker) instead of a draw spell, but ultimately creature count is what makes the deck go and Mythos is versatile, so I decided to cut what I think is the worst draw spell instead and we'll see how it plays.

Love that you took mono blue and made it a fun interesting deck to play. I think an easy power upgrade to this deck would be Ninja of the Deep Hours as it’ll give you good card draw and in a pinch you could unsummon it to use it’s ability again. I think a good sideboard option would be Echoing Truth . I can’t imagine this deck would be able to outpace the top tiers like squirrels or elves, so having a good cleanup option would do wonders in the matchup. And I think Silvergill Douser is a better card in this deck than Fleeting Distraction it comes on a body and won’t give you a card, but I think it’ll completely shut down large body’s and will be more effective than simply giving it -1/-0. Love the concept of this deck and now I want to make mountain walk dwarves

Beamsplitter Mage acts as a mini Zada/Mirrorwing Dragon. Makes all of your targeted cantrips pretty good!

Also there's a few extra cantrips to consider. - Leap - Cloak of Feathers - Cerulean Wisps - Renegade Tactics - Thermal Flux

Bad cantrips that are just good for triggering Zada/Magecraft/Mirrorwing - Twisted Image - Chilling Trap - Fleeting Distraction - Stream of Unconsciousness

Good show, old chap! My apologies for not commenting post haste on your decklist. I blame the Fleeting Distraction of lunch hour.

Ahem, I believe I cannot leave just a silly reply so what I will do is suggest to you the clue stones instead of the talismans you have listed. Reason being you get the mana you need but later on when it's just a junk draw, you can use it to draw another card. They are listed below.

Gruul Cluestone, Golgari Cluestone, Rakdos Cluestone, Simic Cluestone, Dimir Cluestone and Izzet Cluestone.

In addition, I enjoy the background being a different look. While it is not my cup of tea, I think it's cool that you ventured out and did something different. It is hard to read though and I imagine things like larger font or different colors might help it stick out on the black background.

With as much work as you have put into the background, why no deck description and cards considered sections? Might help with redundancy.

Cheers!

TuckerMTG Darn, I knew it was too good to be true. Do you have any other ideas for 1 mana cantrips that don't break the bank? The budget on the replacement for Opt is, if my math is right, 158 cents for 4, or 39.5 cents each. Crimson Wisps might work. Fleeting Distraction is also good.
