Glancing through your cards, your deck's problem might be because you're building it based on best-case scenario, with tons of clones and blink synergies. (In my playgroup, Miirym always gets removed before her untap step, so the Miirym player does not rely on her sticking to the board.)

I'll suggest some upgrades for your deck based on making it more consistent and less dependant on Miirym:

1st. Ramp

Explosive turns with lots of cost reducers sound nice... if people don't blow up your dorks before you get any value from them.

2nd. You need more lands (36 lands + 13 ramp cards is a good starting point)

3rd. Better counterspells

4th. Better removal

5th. Better boardwipes

6th. More card draw

7th. Better win conditions

Hello! I saw your deck help tag and wanted to give some insight.

I don't run Miirym as commander, but I do have her in the 99 in Smashing Faces with the Ur-Dragon, and she always pushes me to victory whenever she's allowed to stick on the battlefield.

Some areas you might want to change to improve your consistency:

1 - Ramp

2 - Draw/Haste

3 - Removal/Boardwipes

4 - Protection

5 - Card draw

6 - Better threats

7 - Some utility lands you might want to run

Neat deck idea!

Not sure how fast the decks you play againset are, but have you considered some lower to the ground dragons? These seemed somewhat interesting, most have colourless in their cost, for the potential discount. Bhaal's Invoker has 4 power, Silvanus's Invoker could be a maybe, Reckless Barbarian seems interesting, Dragon Egg deters people from wiping the board/attacking with bigger non-flyers, Scaled Nurturer is ramp and life, Korlessa, Scale Singer seems interesting, Chaos Dragon is effectively a 2/4 Haste Flying for 3 (it can't swing half the time, but it can still block), and while it's pricey Shivan Devastator can come down early or late.

Love this! Have you considered Garruk's Uprising and Ferocity of the Wilds for helping with card draw and chump blockers? Boros Charm is always a nice thing to have in hand to deal with board wipes. Rhythm of the Wild, because speed and nobody likes having their biggies countered lol. Fellwar Stone, Shadow in the Warp, and Chromatic Lantern are good for expensive decks (though you know I'm a sucker for the lantern lol). What do you think about Ganax, Astral Hunter, Thunderbreak Regent and Korlessa, Scale Singer? A lot of recommendations, sorry lol

You're describing a nice playtest. I like your take on Miirym. Upvote!

May i suggest some (maybe) interesting cards? You're already using the Dragon Orbs... Orb of Dragonkind is a 2cmc colourfixing rock which can also dig into your library. Monster Manual can cheat your dragon into play. Sure, more cmc than Sneak Attack but your beasty-boys do not have to be sacrificed in the end. The Great Henge would cost or even just most of the time and grants enormous value. More on the flavour side is Korlessa, Scale Singer which is pseudo card advantage. Herald's Horn reduces your dragons cost and can provide card advantage (works pretty well with Lapis Orb of Dragonkind). Rishkar's Expertise is a powerhouse draw and could cast 17 creatures or almost all your artifacts/enchantments.

And finally, i like Wrathful Red Dragon as a protection piece. In addition it's a surprise "i-win" with Blasphemous Act and/or Chain Reaction

I did a take on Miirym by myself and i hope you don't mind me linking it in here to hear your opinion on it.

First of, cool list.

Baldur’s Gate gave a lot of on-theme dragon support… like Korlessa, Scale Singer, Scaled Nurturer, Earthquake Dragon, Draconic Muralists or Renari, Merchant of Marvels.

As a mana-rock, i would recommend Orb of Dragonkind, it ramps your dragons or can be used to dig into your library.

Carnelian Orb of Dragonkind ramps and gives haste and Jade Orb of Dragonkind provides protection… and i like, that they are on flavour :D

I tried a Miirym deck by myself and hope you dokn’t mind, if i link it. Maybe you find some Inspiration.

My thought with Korlessa, Scale Singer (1/4 Body for 2 cmc!) and the Scaled Nurturer was, that it's improtant to have some creatures out. Korlessa let you cast your Dragons from top of library which is kind of card potential. The nurturer fits into your 2cmc ramp-theme...

And it don't hurt to draw them lately since Miirym would create copy of them both unlike the rocks.

Any thoughts on Return of the Wildspeaker or Rishkar's Expertise? Oh, Minion of the Mighty could be a funny one

Lotta comments to catch up on here!

  • Copy Artifact - I like the idea of it, but nah. Hard nah. At the time of typing this, I have 12 targets and only 5 of which aren't just 2 drop rocks. Certainly a cool idea and I love the thought of doubling up on a Panharmonicon or The Great Henge, it's just too conditional/too rare of a scenario.
  • Cultivate + Kodama's Reach - I was doing my best to stick to 2 cost ramp cards, but I do enjoy the land fixing + teensy bit of deck thinning these cards provide. Your idea of swapping signets out for these 2 ramp classics has me thinking.
  • Cursed Mirror - I am running this! It's hiding in my ramp category along with Urza's Incubator as my only 3 drop cards there.
  • Swan Song - Long story short, I didn't have a Swan Song to hand. An Offer You Can't Refuse has been an ok counterspell, but I think I might cut it for Nature's Claim.
  • Dragonspeaker Shaman - I ran the dragon cost reduction dorks in my Atarka deck and while they're decent, they got pruned out over time as I found that ramp spells + rocks always served me better.
  • Prime Speaker Zegana & Recurring Insight - great burst draw, albeit conditional. Persopnal preference, I'd rather have the repeateable draw effect with Kindred Discovery. Yes it's also conditional, but I've used it to great drawing effect in other decks and as you point out, the trick is to cast when you've got some dragons ready to swing.
  • 'You don't have a lot of ways to deal with enchantments' - You're not wrong and as I mentioned above, I think I'll swap in Nature's Claim for that reason.
  • Sea Gate Restoration  Flip & Valakut Awakening  Flip - Super cool cards that I might try to squeeze in here. Perhaps a Bala Ged Recovery  Flip for good measure, swapping out a basic of each for these 3. Good idea!
  • Blasphemous Act - Yep. I want to include this. Having played the deck a few times now, sometimes you just need a wipe and I've only got Cyclonic Rift & Ugin, the Spirit Dragon for nuke options. BA is also a potential win condition with Wrathful Red Dragon on the table too.
  • Korlessa, Scale Singer & Scaled Nurturer - Nice tech and it's cool to have some little dragon dorks like this, but I also don't think they're strong enough to warrant the slots.

  • Lots of good ideas and food for thought here, thanks all.
