Optimator on Blazing Rush

Ornithopter of Paradise might be an interesting replacement for (or addition to) Arcane Signet since it can eventually attack for real damage.

Electro, Assaulting Battery and Shivan Devastator are good on-rate. Freya Crescent and Rug of Smothering could be cute with the power boost from your commander. Chaos Dragon is all right.

Slickshot Show-Off and Hobgoblin, Mantled Marauder have flying and haste for cheap, which could be good late-game. Not exactly perfect, but at least worth knowing about.

Those all might not be worth breaking up too much goblin synergy for, though. Going wide with goblins could very well end up being a lot better than having flying creatures. Your playtesting will let you know for sure!

Skyscanner might be an interesting inclusion if you feel like you're getting empty-handed early. Firespitter Whelp flies and you have enough non-creature spells to make it almost worth considering. As I said, going for goblin synergy might be better in the long run.

I am assuming you meant to add two Swamp and not two Island?

Also, it seems like the deck maybe is being pulled in too many directions. It doesn't seem like it has a fast enough clock for aggro and I think you'd want a few more pieces for disruption if you're wanting to play tempo. Also, some of the creatures may not be super strong (looking at Shivan Devastator in particular, which strikes me as a pretty bad card to have early game and I don't really see the payoff late game)

Balaam__ do you have any suggestions in terms of ramp cards that could be added? The good ones that i now of are unfortunately not legal in modern...

wallisface yeah, testing the deck I saw that te first few turns I had nothing that could be done. I was thinking about replacing Gadrak, the Crown-Scourge and Helm of the Host in favor of something that costs less to play.

jdogz32 that combo looks indeed very interesting. I personally prefer maintaining the deck mono red, but I'll think about your suggestion, maybe adding other green cards like Elvish Piper to cheat bigger dragons into play. I'll defenetly add the Shivan Devastator, looks really cool!

After looking at your deck I agree with the Mana curve being too high. I'd suggest adding this nice little combo by splashing green. Minion of the Mighty + Scale Up this will allow you to cheat down your Utvara Hellkite. I'd also suggest adding Shivan Devastator as it can be played early and late game. Some good cards that I think you should squeeze in simply because they are amazing are Balefire Dragon Earthquake Dragon A weird way you can also take your deck is Dragon's Approach

Thanks again TheoryCrafter! I made cuts and changes based on your suggestion. I did my best to keep a balance while adding more {X} cards for Zaxara, the Exemplary and Unbound Flourishing.

Cuts made:

Forgotten Ancient, Jodah, Archmage Eternal, Fist of Suns, Bootleggers' Stash, and swapped a few lands.

Cards added:

Shivan Devastator, Steelbane Hydra, Unbound Flourishing, and Bonfire of the Damned.

I still want to implement Progenitus' commander damage strategy on top of the hydra tribal idea, so I kept many of the exalt cards and mana fix/ramp. Another reason is that the ramp cards assist with {X} values too.

Neat deck idea!

Not sure how fast the decks you play againset are, but have you considered some lower to the ground dragons? These seemed somewhat interesting, most have colourless in their cost, for the potential discount. Bhaal's Invoker has 4 power, Silvanus's Invoker could be a maybe, Reckless Barbarian seems interesting, Dragon Egg deters people from wiping the board/attacking with bigger non-flyers, Scaled Nurturer is ramp and life, Korlessa, Scale Singer seems interesting, Chaos Dragon is effectively a 2/4 Haste Flying for 3 (it can't swing half the time, but it can still block), and while it's pricey Shivan Devastator can come down early or late.

PhyrexianPraetor Thannks again for all the good card suggestions. I really appreciate it! I remember the black devotion decks well, good ol Gary! Gray Merchant of Asphodel and Phyrexian Obliterator, nasty stuff mate! The Shivan Devastator is indeed a pretty sick new card! I have a few but they are in my brother's Dragon deck with the Stormbreath Dragons and Thunderbreak Regents, but maybe I'll order another one or two for me! Boros Reckoner is a great card as well, I had them in the main board, and they have totally saved my skin in the past, I pushed them out to lower the curve a bit more, but I always keep them in the wings as a possibility. Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx is already in the deck, gotta have that in any devotion deck for sure! Robber of the Rich is also a great card that can provide value and remove possible threats from the opponents deck before they become a problem, I wish I had paper copies, I have him in my historic RDW on arena for certain, I'll look getting some physical copies. As for the War Elemental, Stigma Lasher, Harsh Mentor, and Vexing Shusher, I do not have any of those cards, but I'll put them into consideration! Cheers!
