Tasigur lands and Villainous Wealth

Tasigur is a multi-faceted commander, you could build it in sooo many ways, but one thing is clear, the color of combinations is one of the best. Second, i really enjoy playing with the graveyard and Tasigur enable that in so many ways, graveyard filler, graveyard filtering (delve) and graveyard recursion.
The main goal of the deck is win secretly with a big Villainous Wealth. Villainous Wealth is so much fun, playing with the opponents big creatures and spells, nothing is worst that lose to your own cards. Obviously the main way to play a big Villainous Wealth is having a lot of lands in play and that is exactly the way i choose. I could have a lot of infinite mana combos, but i think that Villainous Wealth loose the fun and excitement when you have an infinte X. So i went with the mass land play, using cards as Azusa, Lost but Seeking, Burgeoning or Dryad of the Ilysian Grove. I have a second option in Torment of Hailfire, because Villainous Wealth could go in to exile, and that is one of the weaknesses of the deck. Finally we could have a lot of tokens using Field of the Dead, Scute Swarm and Titania, Protector of Argoth, attacking for the kills.
One of the secret weapons of the decks are lands. We have lands with different purposes and checks on different areas.

  • Alchemist's Refuge: Playing cards at instant speed is a big advantage, one of the ideas of the deck is to play at instant speed, using Tasigur or controlling with instants, with this land also we could play everething, nothing better that palying a big Villainous Wealth at instant speed.

  • Bojuka Bog: Classic graveyard hate, responding with Crop Rotation into Bojuka is so nasty when someones is trying to play with his graveyard.

  • Boseiju, Who Shelters All: Here we have some safety for our bigs Villainous Wealth making it uncounterable.

  • Cabal Coffers: Some of the important pieces for our strategy, making a looooot of mana for our big spells using Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth.

  • Dakmor Salvage: Is always to have multiple ways to mill ourselves in this deck and obviously this land have a big synergy with The Gitrog Monster.

  • Dark Depths: We have the wombocombo with Thespian's Stage. Sometimes you just need a 20/20 with indestructible and flying, 2 hit KO.

  • Endless Sands: Some of our creatures are hidden commanders for the deck and Endless Sands allow us to have protection in case of boardwypes and target removal.

  • Field of the Dead: One of out secret wincons because we can play soooo many lands, that fill our board with zombies is not too difficult.

  • Ghost Quarter: Self sacrifice and land hate, the perfect combo for this deck. Bye bye Cabals!.

  • Glacial Chasm: This deck usually goes off slow, so we have some protection. Glacial is a fog in a land, perfect fit for the deck. Also it let us sacrifice another land and self sacrifice when we want. Also great combo with Crop Rotation in response of an attack.

  • Homeward Path: Also some protection in case someone steals our hidden commanders.

  • Lotus Field: Graveyard filler and land sacrifice, nice synergy with the deck.

  • Maze of Ith: The other piece of protection in a land.

  • Misty Rainforest: Allways havving out Zagoth Triome is not bad. Also with some land recursion we could play this a lot of times and keep filtering our deck.

  • Thespian's Stage: As i said we have the combo with Dark Depths, but also having a second Cabal Coffers enable us to have a really big Villainous Wealth.

  • Tolaria West: One of our land tutors. As i said, we have weaponize our lands, so having the correct one in the perfect time is neccesary.

  • Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth and Yavimaya, Cradle of Growth: Same effect, different color, Urborg is here for Cabal and Yavimaya just for fixing.

  • Zuran Orb: This beauty enable us to fill our graveyard with lands and gain life. We have some nasty synergies, using it with The Gitrog Monster to draw cards or Titania, Protector of Argoth to fill our board with 5/3. We could use this synergies and then play a Splendid Reclamation to recover all our lands (2 life + card draw or 2 life + a 5/3 token is too much value).

  • Crucible of Worlds: A must play in the deck, play lands from the graveyard in a self mill deck is value!. Also we could use it sacrificing our self sacrificing lands and then play them again.

  • Burgeoning: Get flooded with lands is not too bad in this deck, and this card some times makes you into turn 5 just in your second turn, nasty. But you have to remember that is from your hand in to play, we cant use it with Crucible of Worlds or Ramunap Excavator to play lands from our graveyard.

  • Exploration: A must play in a land deck, solid play in turn 1 with a second land in hand.

  • Mystic Remora: I think every blue deck must play this fishy, most of the times it gets you soo much card draw i cant even tell.

  • Phyrexian Reclamation: I really love this enchantment, i put it in all my black decks, 2 mana + 2 life for a creature in your graveyard is not bad at all. As i previously mentioned, some of the creature of the deck are hidden commanders, enabling us with some beautiful synergies, so i have multiple ways to get them back from graveyard.

  • Animate Dead: I usually use it with my creatures (hidden commanders) but you have the option to reanimate an opponent creature, so beautiful.

  • Excavation: Another option to Zuran Orb, getting lands in to our graveyard is value for this deck and has the same synergies as Zuran Orb. (With The Gitrog Monster: 1 mana + 1 land for 2 cards, love that).

  • Rhystic Study: Not too much to say about this piece of card, just a must have!.

  • Life from the Loam: I really love this card in a self mill deck, returning up to 3 lands of your choice to your hand some times is like a land tutor. The dregde synergies with our self mill and lands in to graveyard matters (The Gitrog Monster). I love when you use it after a Realms Uncharted, ups i just tutored 4 lands! Nasty!. Also another way to have lands in hand for Burgeoning and a alternative to use the synergies that sacrifice lands (Excavation/Zuran Orb with The Gitrog Monster/Titania, Protector of Argoth).

  • Sylvan Scrying: Another land tutor, remember that lands in this deck are weapons, protections and enablers.

  • Compulsive Research: Just card draw, graveyard filler and lands in to graveyard matter synergies.

  • Eldritch Evolution: One of the secret all stars in the deck. As we fill our graveyard so easily, we can play Tasigur with delve often with only a single black mana, added to that Tasigur converted mana cost is 7! thats an amazing number because it allow us to put a 9 converted mana cost creature in to play if we sacrifice it, thats why Tasigur is a perfect choice to sacrifice. The perfect combination sacrificing Tasigur, the Golden Fang into Eldritch Evolution is Razaketh, the Foulblooded, what a beast!, but also we could search any of our hidden commanders!.

  • Life / Death: Life allow us to add our lands as 1/1 to attack for the kill, but specifically is here because we could use it in combination with Razaketh, the Foulblooded and sacrifice our lands to tutor stuff (tutor a looot of stuff). Also the Death side synergies with our self mill to reanimate our hidden commanders.

  • Toxic Deluge: One of the best boardwipes, low mana, uses life points as resources and gets indestructible creatures.

  • Windfall: Mainly is here because it fills our graveyard, but also we have the nasty combo with Narset, Parter of Veils, leaving our opponents with only a single card in hand, giving us sooo much advantage.

  • Splendid Reclamation: The second all star in the deck. Enables our big mana strategy using our self mill (lands in graveyard) putting a lot of lands in play. This is the specific reason why we have a lot of self mill and some ways to play spells at instant speed (Alchemist's Refuge or Emergence Zone). We have some really nice plays that we could do with this and another pieces at instant speed (That Play Section).

  • Tempt with Discovery: Mana ramp and mana tutor in one card. Usually i got one player to have the tempting offer and then de rest of the players got in to it also. If we fail to tempt another palyer, any 1 land directly in to play for 4 mana is not the worst.
