Saskia is a very interesting commander in which she bypasses pillowfort/prison strategies in a multiplayer game as well as punishing any players she chooses. This is basically an aggro infect deck focusing on buffing up harmless infect creatures for the kill. Any infect creature suited up with an equipment is just bad news. Pump, equipments, and auras will get me to the promise land and leave the pod in a barren toxic wasteland of salt.

Although this deck can be pretty explosive, I think that due to multiplayer politics it is better for infect to stay low while looking for the perfect opening to win outta nowhere. That's essentially the spirit of the deck, a calculated surprise tactical strike to kill everyone in one shot with infect.

The strategy is primarily straight aggro supported by pump spells, equipments, and enchantments. The signature game ending moves:

  • The RKO: Infect creature + Invigorate /Vines of Vastwood + any other damage doublers like Berserk = Instant poison death to one player. Bonus points with Saskia in play to kill another player at the same time.

  • The Legend Killer: 9 power Saskia the Unyielding with Tainted Strike = instant poison death to two player. Throw in Soul's Fire to kill a third player (in a typical 4 man pod that means you win). Alternatively, you only need 4 power if you are attacking the player which you use Saskia's ability on.

Is this a budget version. I'm interested in buidling it but a few of the infect creatures seem to be lemons like three for 2/2 creaturs with infect thay have no effects... just wondering.

NAHS901: The reason why I included those infect creatures are purely due to CMC...the higher CMC are too cost prohibitive for this deck to function efficiently and will allow my opponents to stabilize before I can go for the kill. As long as I can stick an equipment/pump spell/aura to an infect creature, I should be able to go for the kill.

How well does your deck run against different tiers, if you dont mind me asking.

NAHS901: From testing this deck is decent in a tier 2/3 environment...I don't think infect can be really competitive in a multiplayer field unless there is a consistent way to kill 3 players by turn 4. It also doesn't help that there are no hatebear variants of infect creatures to make it more competitive...and also by including hatebears it will dilute the infect strategy and fracture the winning percentage.

TLDR: This deck struggles in Tier 1 and thrives in tier 2/3.

Thank you for the information and answering my questions. At my LGS I was given the new task of building a deck without the color blue in it as my decks seem to have a chokehold on the Meta there. My first instinct was Saskia and your infect list seemed perfect as I run Infect in Legacy, tho the allowance of blue tends to help that deck quite a bit. Your list looks good and I can see what you meant by three drop creatures are pretty good in the fact they aren't tasking you in leaving no mana open. I can understand the struggles against tier one and the fact it thrives in two/three is definitely a benefit.

Again Thank you for your help, and Im excited to build and run this. . .No Blue. . .No problem.

I'm not sure how much Proliferate you have in here, but I think it might help a little. Volt Charge comes to mind, though I'm not sure how helpful it would be, because this deck seems solid already!
