Can you smell what The Rock is cooking? Golgari midrange used to be called The Rock before Ravnica came along and gave the color pair a name, and it's back with a proper commander to helm it, and he makes food!

Gyome is a solid beater with trample and self-protection built in. I have found I don't actually need to run every food maker in existence since Gyome makes all creatures come with a food. This then makes us want to center a lot of our spell effects on creatures, so I lean into Reclamation Sage, Eternal Witness, and Wood Elves over spell-based options to fill the same rolls. Creatures which can recur themselves, such as Silversmote Ghoul and Cauldron Familiar, provide a sweet synergy for Gyome's food production while providing clutch blockers and sacrifice fodder.

Don't sleep on the fact that Gyome's feeding ability can be used to clear blockers out of the way or keep opposing monsters at bay. No need to eat an Annihilation trigger when you can just feed that Ulamog a burger.
