Hey there!

I would go for slimming down each category, rather than just creatures/control.

Some low drop creatures can be worth running in the right context, but some of yours can probably be cut: turns 1-2, I'd much rather be casting things like Ponder or Brainstorm to prepare for future turns than drop a Faerie Seer which isn't terribly impactful. Some of your low CMC creatures can stay, like Cloudfin Raptor which is an absolute beast, but if I were you I'd just playtest some of them and see what you like best.

There's no such thing as "too much card draw", as long as you don't deck out or die due to not doing other things that actually win you the game. A good thing to do in blue is make sure your card draw spells are instants, so you can hold up mana for a counterspell if you need it, then if your opponents change phases to their end steps without doing anything crazy, you can cast a Brainstorm / Deliberate.

Draining Whelk can be really good, depending on what you counter. It's a 6 drop Counterspell & 4/4 + flier in one card slot. Only downside is the steep CMC.

Some things you could trim: Wingspan Mentor - a bit slow and win-more: if you have enough creatures out for its counters to matter, you were probably dealing good damage without it.

Charix, the Raging Isle - same CMC as your commander, so you'll probably want to cast your commander instead 9/10 times you draw it.

Floodgate - as above, also you have better control options.

Sludge Monster - slow, not quite a fit here.

Thryx, the Sudden Storm - a bit better of a fit, but still not quite worth it.

Windstorm Drake - small toughness boost is not worth the cost.

Sphinx of Jwar Isle - sometimes it can be nice to know what's coming up next in your library, but this isn't worth the cost and top deck manipulation doesn't really have much synergy here.

You could cut a few of your worse counterspells: Intervene, Crypsis, Nullify.

lastly, with your average CMC, I think you could comfortably cut 4-5 Islands.

Hope that helps. Sorry for the wall of text, but I wanted to explain some of my reasoning on cuts and such.

Maybe you could take advantage of the Changeling mechanic a bit. Stuff like Birthing Boughs and Maskwood Nexus (so you can make an ETB at Instant Speed). Bloodline Pretender gives you a slow build if cast early, and only costs if Unesh is already on the field.

Sphinx Ambassador is a card that can make people ragequit on the spot, especially with all the counterspell backup you have. Stormtide Leviathan is terrible in most decks, but amazing in this one.

Also, with all the ETB abilities you have here, I really recommend Ghostly Flicker, Displace, and Illusionist's Stratagem because they give your sphinxes some evasion while also doubling up on their ETBs.

A bit more reduction could really do you well. Maybe Warden of Evos Isle and/or Thryx, the Sudden Storm?

I think you should cut: Brutalizer Exarch, Conduit of Ruin, Frost Titan, Giant Adephage, Myr Battlesphere, Oblivion Sower, Pelakka Wurm, Phyrexian Ingester, Rashmi, Eternities Crafter, Rattleclaw Mystic, Sagu Mauler, Simic Sky Swallower, Sphinx Ambassador, Stalking Vengeance, Tornado Elemental, Plasm Capture, Pandemonium, Sunken Hope, Tezzeret the Seeker, Chromatic Lantern, Darksteel Ingot, Disaster Radius, Explosive Vegetation, Heat Shimmer, Rude Awakening, and Spelltwine. As for lands, I do think you should replace: Izzet Boilerworks, Spawning Bed, and Temple of the False God.

I think you should add: Temur Sabertooth, Genesis Ultimatum, Etali, Primal Storm, Skyshroud Claim, Goreclaw, Terror of Qal Sisma, Sakura-Tribe Elder, Chaos Warp, Klauth, Unrivaled Ancient, Terror of the Peaks, Kodama of the East Tree, Reclamation Sage, Kogla, the Titan Ape, Consecrated Sphinx, Selvala, Heart of the Wilds, Wood Elves, Ilharg, the Raze-Boar, Diluvian Primordial, Prime Speaker Zegana, Release to the Wind, Return of the Wildspeaker, Nature's Lore, Three Visits, Garruk's Uprising, Guardian Project, Unnatural Growth, and Arcane Signet.

I do think one option that you have is replacing all signets with mana dorks like Birds of Paradise, Llanowar Elves, and Elvish Mystic

If you are able to find more slots, I think you should consider: Hullbreaker Horror, Thryx, the Sudden Storm (dependent on count of spells with 5 cmc or more), Soothsaying, Mulldrifter, Beast Whisperer (dependent on final count of creatures), Rishkar's Expertise, Turntimber Symbiosis  Flip, See the Unwritten, Balefire Dragon, Scourge of the Throne, Bane of Progress (I feel like you do not have a ton of high value artifacts or enchantments that would cause this to cripple you), Momir Vig, Simic Visionary, and Genesis Storm.

Epicurus on Card creation challenge

There are a lot of white giants, and a lot of blue giants, but there are literally zero Azorius giants (unless you count Jotun Owl Keeper, but that's pushing it). Therefore, completing the first challenge, by definition, completes the second...

Ok, so, first of all, I have no idea what the "East Gate" is. It just sounded good.

Second, oh my God this guy.

He's not a tribal lord, but pairs very well with Thryx, the Sudden Storm, Oathsworn Giant, and Favor of the Mighty. Furthermore, Azorius is very well suited for Voltron, especially in a midrange build.

Sorry, I'm kinda proud of this guy. He's an absolute Timmy card, that begs for Johnny to break.

Triple ninja'd, but I don't care. See the many challenges above, and try to figure out what it is that you're supposed to do next. I'm gonna go cook dinner. Chicken alfredo with garlic rolls. Enjoy your night.

Any reason all your basics aren't snow-covered? Also the giants you're running all look pretty great aside from the commons, but the non-giant creatures could use some work. Tbh, with some of your other tribal elements like Battle of Frost and Fire and Reflections of Littjara , why not scrap the wizards that aren't providing much, and go almost full giant tribal? Thryx, the Sudden Storm and Stinkdrinker Daredevil could certainly use a home in this deck, I feel. Thundercloud Shaman would be huge. Borderland Behemoth could be a win condition, but just remember to assign at least 1 point of trample damage/excess damage to the blocker in order to get the card draw.

If you're looking for more giants, search up "giants" in Gatherer, or look at what EDHREC says about your commander: https://edhrec.com/commanders/aegar-the-freezing-flame

Without the need to champion an elemental anymore, you probably also don't need some of the weaker elementals like Cloudkin Seer and Squall Drifter . I do think cutting the big guy was a good idea since he isn't that impactful, but it does feel a shame to not have something Thryx, the Sudden Storm is trying to help bring in. Windreader Sphinx was the first card that came to my mind as a big creature that works well in flying tribal. There's also Zetalpa, Primal Dawn if you just want something exceedingly big and dumb. Finally, Celestial Archon could be a decent beater that also triggers Archon of Sun's Grace . On the subject of the Archon, Riptide Chimera seems like it could be a great partner to guarantee at least one pegasus every turn. Plus, it also lets you start your sagas from the beginning instead of needing to sacrifice them while getting even more buffs off Celestial Ancient .

Invasion of the Giants is an immediate four-of. That card does anything you want it to. Battle of Frost and Fire if you're playing against a lot of creature decks should be a four-of, but I think three is fine. You probably don't want Embercleave, as giants go big and not wide.

I think you have enough three-drops that Beanstalk Giant is pretty low on the priority list. I think you could easily cut it and help your manabase as well. Speaking of manabase, add in a land or two. Giants goes big! Shatterskull Smashing  Flip is a decent option for how much mana you want.

Cyclone Summoner is a good top-end, maybe even sooner with Invasion of the Giants. It's basically a Cyclonic Rift in Standard. Thryx, the Sudden Storm is another possibility as a flash blocker that makes Cyclone Summoner cheaper, but that's up to you. It's a meh. Now what I consider is not a meh is Shatterskull Charger . Very underrated card. It's a giant, you get the option of making it immune to wipes/sorcery removal and just get in a few extra damage, or making it a solid haste giant. Basalt Ravager and/or Shatterskull Smashing  Flip is an alternative to Squash , though Basalt Ravager has kind of let me down. A 4/2 is just so easy to kill.

If you need more to cut after Embercleave and Beanstalk Giant, cut Crystalline Giant. With Shatterskull Charger, you've still got that three-slot (kind of) and Crystalline is just kind of meh as well. It's random if it becomes good and is mainly just a 3/3 for 3.

A friend of mine made a build of Izzet Giants with these changes and some more and had good success in the play queue. If you play it a good bit, it might even get you up to plat. Here's his video showing how well it does: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8JF1aHemcL8

Since you are playing Tatyova, Benthic Druid what about Aesi, Tyrant of Gyre Strait . I dont know if you want the landfall ability in your deck but there are a lot more great inclusions to make in a simic deck. While being on this whole Landfall thingy, Pearl Lake Ancient works then very nice.

I think Reality Shift is not bad but Ravenform should be a better fit here, also there is Rapid Hybridization Since you are already playing big bad creatures what about a good ol' Hadana's Climb  Flip Since you are short on removal what about big bad Terastodon , yes it will bounce back with your very flavourfull boardwhipe Whelming Wave but afterall, that's something good, so you can replay it ;) Dont underestimate the value of a Krosan Grip , Splitsecond can catch people on the wrong foot, interrupting combos.

Talking about Whelming Wave why not double down and put a Cyclonic Rift in there aswell? Or for flavour this guy: Kederekt Leviathan . Or something rather stupid: Aethersquall Ancient and since you are most likely to be behind on board i'd slam an Evacuation right in there aswell. And maybe even one River's Rebuke and a Coastal Breach even Inundate should be fine here.

Playing Return of the Wildspeaker but not Soul's Majesty ? Seems like a hard miss for me.

Kodama of the East Tree seems like a good fit here, to cheat out some of the expensive stuff when you cast another one already, also works on lands. Something that works similar would be Imoti, Celebrant of Bounty . More on the topic cheating the mana cost, what about an Elvish Piper or a Quicksilver Amulet

Something protective is always good Thryx, the Sudden Storm

Your carddraw seems to be based on playing creatures with Garruk's Uprising and Elemental Bond (which is better in your deck because of it's Synergy with the tokens from Koma, Cosmos Serpent . But you can double down on that with cards like Guardian Project , Beast Whisperer , and The Great Henge . Colossal Majesty works similar to you but since you are ablte to include very high CMC stuff just slam a Zendikar Resurgent in there aswell.

But Since you should have the mana, what about a Blue Sun's Zenith , Stroke of Genius , Pull from Tomorrow or maybe just a Genesis Wave

Thrasios, Triton Hero and Staff of Domination will help you do something with excess mana.

Ramp is all fun an games, but your cmc is very high so why not go for Skyshroud Claim , Explosive Vegetation , Migration Path , Circuitous Route

Now to some more flavour which might not be good, but flavour you know? Kiora Bests the Sea God

And you are in Simic anyways, so let me dump some simic staples here anyways Oko, Thief of Crowns , Uro, Titan of Nature's Wrath , Fierce Guardianship , Mana Drain , Force of Will

and last something very special, you are already very high in CMC, why not double down and play a Keruga, the Macrosage , you can double down and play it as your companion, that'd be fun. You wont miss out on too much. A lot of it is also available in 3CMC like Disallow , Saw It Coming , Simic Locket or Search for Tomorrow Some cards have CMC 3 but you can still do stuff on turn 1 and 2 ;) but that's up to you and how much you want to go down that road of memes and shattered dreams.

Lands looks fine, but since you are able to untapp some lands, maybe use a Lotus Field or atleast a Castle Garenbrig . Since your Devotion can be very high at somepoint Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx but be worth it.
