This is the LovelyMaiden's Zirda, the Dawnwaker deck. The deckbuilding goal is to get a chance to use some of the equipment that we just can no longer find room for in her Forged From Stone deck lead by Nahiri, the Lithomancer . Along the way we are steering head on into the activated abilities direction. This deck seeks to gain loads of value from Zirda's discount to activated abilities.

We're starting off with cards that are readily available and we'll go from there.

This deck relies heavily on its commander, Zirda, the Dawnwaker to provide a discount on activated abilities. At the forefront of this value is a heavy equipment theme taking advantage of lowered (and preferably free) equip costs. I won't list all the activated abilities in the deck, but in general they get better, or playable, or awesomely free with Zirda's discount applied. Below are detailed a few infinite combos and particularly note worthy effects when discounted

Staff of Domination + Zirda, the Dawnwaker - This combo generates infinite life. Also, to draw a card is a decent rate when you're sitting at a zillion life.

Pentavus + Zirda, the Dawnwaker - These two together generate infinite ETB and dies triggers. This deck includes Impact Tremors and Reckless Fireweaver as options for payoffs for the triggers.

Basalt Monolith + Zirda, the Dawnwaker - This combo generates infinite . (We didn't have a spare copy of Basalt Monolith when constructing the deck, but we intend to add it later.)

Angel of Destiny + Blade of Selves - You get a number of triggers equal to the number of opponents times the number of the angels which managed to connect. This can generate an obscene amount of lifegain and you'll be knocking opponents out of the game in really short order. You will only be able to knock out one opponent at a time like this; the copies aren't declared as attackers, nor do they stick around until the end step for the game winning ability to trigger.

Cycling - Zirda discounts most cycling costs so there is a small subtheme including a few Cycling matters cards.

Mirage Mirror - Activating this for free allows for a lot of versatility and value.

War Room - Paying the equivalent of and 2 life instead of and 2 life to draw a card in a deck is a great rate.
