Maybeboard

Sevinne, the Chronoclasm is popular for his synergy with Flashback and other "play from the graveyard" mechanics but I'd like to take the path less traveled and explore a more quirky deck theme - Damage Prevention and Redirection by exploiting his first ability!

This is a Group Slug deck that aims to:

  1. Play lots of pain inflicting cards like Manabarbs, Ankh of Mishra, Sulfuric Vortex, etc

  2. Cast our my "bodyguards" who has immunity to damage like Sevinne, the Chronoclasm, Cho-Manno, Revolutionary, Hazoret the Fervent, etc

  3. Redirect the pain to my loyal bodyguards using Pariah like spells or prevent taking damage using Energy Field, Personal Sanctuary, etc

  4. Finish the game with a huge burn spell like Earthquake

Combos and Synergies

1) Manabarbs + Citadel of Pain = Players take damage equal to the number of lands they control!

2) Possibility Storm + Guttersnipe = Each instant and sorcery spell we cast triggers Guttersnipe twice (original spell plus the card we can cast for free through Possibility Storm), dealing 4 damage to each opponent! (Not in main deck)

3) Pyrohemia + Any Bodyguards = Continually burn majority of the creatures off the battlefield! Torbran, Thane of Red Fell makes it more painful for your opponents and their creatures. BURN BABY BURN

4) Cyclonic Rift to reset opponents' board + Spellshock / Scab-Clan Berserker / Pyrostatic Pillar = Make the rebuilding of their board extra painful. Manabarbs would add salt to the wound... OUCH!
