The beauty and majesty of the natural world come to life in this deck built around a randomly selected combo from https://commanderspellbook.com/random/ for the Random Combo Deck Build-Off started by Hardhitta7 as a casual deck-building exercise and mini-competition. To quickly summarize the rules, the deck must be buildable with a loose 500 USD budget, it must include a randomly-selected combo, and it can't be five colors (https://tappedout.net/mtg-forum/commander/enter-random-combo-deck-build-off/). This deck is a Landfall-focused deck with an Elemental creature subtheme.

Main combo

Retreat to Coralhelm + Budoka Gardener   + Selesnya Sanctuary + Tunneling Geopede

With the three nonland permanents out and Selesnya Sanctuary in hand, tap the Budoka Gardener   to put the Sanctuary into play. This triggers the Landfall abilities of Retreat to Coralhelm and Tunneling Geopede and the land bounce of Sanctuary. Untap the Gardener with Retreat's ability, deal 1 damage to an opponent with Geopede, and use the Sanctuary to bounce itself. You can now repeat this process as many times as necessary to win through damage from Geopede.

Redundancies

Budoka Gardener   can be replaced by Skyshroud Ranger or Sakura-Tribe Scout for the same effect.

Selesnya Sanctuary can be replaced by Simic Growth Chamber , Gruul Turf , or Boros Garrison for the same effect.

Tunneling Geopede can be replaced by Ruin Crab to infinitely mill all opponents, or Fervor + ( Felidar Retreat or Omnath, Locus of Rage ) to create an infinite number of hasty tokens.

Other Effects and Synergies

Ashaya, Soul of the Wild + Terra Eternal make all nontoken creatures that the deck controls indestructible.

Phylath, World Sculptor and Avenger of Zendikar can generate lots of Plant tokens and put +1/+1 counters on them as Landfall effects.

Risen Reef turns Elemental creatures, including the Elemental tokens from Voice of Resurgence , Budoka Gardener  , and Omnath, Locus of Rage , into additional card draw.

Dreamscape Artist + Tatyova, Benthic Druid + Retreat to Coralhelm turns into a repeatable Harrow , providing two Landfall triggers every time Artist's ability is activated.

Since the central combo involves several cards working together, the deck has several options for card draw, tutoring, and filtering.

Commander Notes

While gives the deck access to cards like Wargate , Congregation at Dawn , and Omnath, Locus of Creation , I'm not sure I would have picked it if it wasn't in the main combo. It's not an aggressive deck, so the and Partner commanders aren't especially useful. That would leave only Ishai, Ojutai Dragonspeaker + Tana, the Bloodsower as Partner commanders, and neither one has any special use for the deck. Choosing between Omnath, Locus of Creation and Kynaios and Tiro of Meletis , I went for the continual extra draw and land drops.

If I had gotten a bounce land in some combination of , I think I would have kept the Elemental approach and used Animar, Soul of Elements as the commander, although Maelstrom Wanderer could have been interesting.

Budget note: At time of completion, Aesi, Tyrant of Gyre Strait is valued at $11.74, Kynaios and Tiro of Meletis is $9.98, and Congregation at Dawn is $5.21

Is this deck any good? Well, it held together in playtesting. It wasn't especially fast, but it reliably got where it needed to. Without concessions to the budget, and as I become a better EDH builder, I think this deck has some potential. I'm not sure it can hit the upper reaches of competitiveness, but it should be good to break out and have fun with.
