Epicurus on I AM A DWARF AND I'M DIGGING A HOLE

And Blade of Selves, if you play a lot of multiplayer. And also, I'd like Avenger of Zendikar in here moreso than Phylath, World Sculptor, especially if you did include Esix.

And Mirror Box isn't a great choice, because most of your 7 Dwarves will be tokens.

Changes, 31Oct2021:

-1 Zendikar's Roil, +1 Scute Swarm. Roil may crank out larger tokens, but Swarm has a chance to get simply silly with the amount of tokens it makes, plus it's less expensive. With the biggest drawback being that the Swarm will be easier for opponents to get rid of, it's still a better card in this slot.

-1 Worm Harvest, +1 Phylath, World Sculptor. I'd been on the fence about including Phylath for a while. With a few other sources for plants as well as Doubling Season and Ancient Greenwarden now in the deck, Phylath is a very real threat. Only 1 CMC slot higher than Worm Harvest as well. While I'd love to include more retrace cards in this deck, Worm Harvest just costs too much for a card that will only be good situationally. Phylath should be good every time he makes it on the battlefield.

-1 Centaur Vinecrasher, +1 Wrenn and Seven. Vinecrasher is pretty underwhelming. W+7 does everything I want this deck to do. This was a super easy call.

-1 Walking Ballista, +1 Druid Class. As I mentioned before, I want to include every extra land drop card available. So I needed to find a slot for Druid Class. Walking Ballista is probably good in every deck that exists, but I mostly wanted it in here for the way it interacts with Retreat to Hagra. Any turn I can get a land drop with RtH out, Ballista turns into a targeted removal machine at instant speed (especially fun during opponents' turns with a fetch land usage). I can get this same effect with Akoum Hellkite, however. So, while the Ballista will be missed, one more card that lets me drops more lands will win me more games in the end.

-1 Decimate, -1 Constant Mists, +1 Demonic Tutor, +1 Chord of Calling. Also as mentioned before, I wanted to find room for these tutors at some point. Thank you, Strixhaven Mystical Archives for providing me with a $4 Demonic Tutor. For this deck to really get going, it's imperative that I get both The Gitrog Monster and something with a Crucible of Worlds effect (also available on Ramunap Excavator and Ancient Greenwarden, of course) out there together. Adding these 2 along with the tutors I was already running should dramatically increase the number of games I can successfully get the engine humming. Plus they can help me pick and choose what else I might want from my landfall toolbox if I've already got things going. While it did pain me a bit to take out one of very few cards that can deal with enchantments in Decimate, its demanding targeting requirements and overall strategy of my deck made it expendable. Mists falls into the same boat strategy-wise; I love that I could keep it with a land sac (which itself can be very advantageous for me), but in a game with anything good happening for me, I should be able to deal with combat damage other ways, so Mists went on the block.

Assuming you're going with a land based deck anyways landfall creatures that generate value are a fairly easy add on and with all the reprints lately everything is relatively affordable.

Scute Swarm - is one of my favorite new cards. Death by insects

Omnath, Locus of Rage - is a decent curve topper and if left alone can provide enough pressure to close out the game in most cases

Rampaging Baloths - same idea as pretty much anything else. Solid body and with 2 or 3 more land drops barring a wrath you should be closing out the game

Phylath, World Sculptor - I'm assuming you'll run some number of basics but this guy is kinda like Avenger of Zendikar but a legendary fixed version of it

Felidar Retreat - death by cats is always fun

Emeria Angel - death by birds

Ob Nixilis, the Fallen - death by demon

Lots of land and a Scapeshift or a Bring to Light into anything listed above will probably provide you enough value to win the game - you could also go the big mana route with Exsanguinate or Torment of Hailfire

Dragon Appeasement is bad. Swap it for Moldervine Reclamation if you really need more draw power than Korvold can provide.

Primal Growth can replace Natural Connection.

I also highly recommend Avenger of Zendikar, Mazirek, Kraul Death Priest, Springbloom Druid, Phylath, World Sculptor, and maybe Worm Harvest, although I'm not sure what to cut to fit them in.

Overall though, sweet deck; I'm just starting work on my own lands/sac deck, since they're some of my favourite archetypes.

+1 I'm definitely giving this deck a try. A couple cheap cards to look at are Valakut Exploration , and Phylath, World Sculptor . And a potential upgrade option would be Moraug, Fury of Akoum . Thanks for the well-put-together description!

If you're looking to abuse the landfall affect, Phylath, World Sculptor is usually another good drop. A bit of a steep mana cost but with all the land and sorcery instants you have it could ramp well if you get it late early or mid game.

Also, you have a lot of hard hitters, so if you're looking to abuse trample then cards like Embercleave might not be a bad idea as a combat trick.

SiegeTank on BUDGET Cascade Elemental

Greetings,

The commander is built with the goal of cascading into ramp cards and hitting lands on the way there. It does this buy having plenty of Ramp cards and keeping them below 3 mana cost so that all the 4 mana cost and below cascade cards can be considered extra ramp. While the commander will allow for you to pull extra lands and in mid to late game for additional landfall triggers.

Then its just simple big beefy creatures & elemental swarms beating them down by getting to late game before your opponents board wipe you.

That's it, pretty simple fun deck to play and takes advantage of the mostly basics with cards like Phylath, World Sculptor & Scourge of Fleets which help keep it under $100 dollars.

If you were looking to expand this deck with some bigger dollars cards some easy recommendations would be Maelstrom Wanderer , Apex Devastator Omnath, Locus of Mana Omnath, Locus of the Roil Kodama of the East Tree
