Maybeboard

Muldrotha uses recursion-based card abuse to win games. Self-mill and tutoring help find the cards you need.

Notes:

  • Permanent-based effects are often better than running similar effects on instants and sorceries, thanks to Muldrotha. Especially those that sacrifice themselves.

  • Glacial Chasm , Contamination , and Infernal Darkness : Protect you from a significant number of decks. Can easily lock the board down with Muldrotha for victory. Sacrifice on your upkeep so you can do things, recur with Muldrotha so your opponents can't.

  • Kokusho, the Evening Star and Titania, Protector of Argoth : Major damage-dealers.

  • Command Beacon : Recur with Muldrotha, sac to bring her back; congratulations you've invalidated the command tax!

  • Necromancy : While Muldrotha only let's you play cards on your turn, you can still cast this at instant speed so it sacs at eot and then re-play the creature next turn. Useful if you don't have a sac outlet for something like Kokusho, the Evening Star .

  • Hermit Druid : Yes, I'm running him with basics. I find that milling your entire deck is too risky a strategy for victory. But even without that, a low number of basics ensures he mills very efficiently.
